I’m very new to this site - very new to being 50+ too!
I live in a village near Hereford with my partner of six years. I was previously married, and sadly widowed more than ten years ago. I sold my business a year ago and have lived a leisurely life since then. I have no children.
In a bored moment, three days after my 50th birthday, I googled ‘over 50’, ‘over the hill’, and one or two other variations - and found this site!
Hoping to be able to access info as-and-when I need it, as I’ve no doubt questions about aging will come to me in the future!
I don’t log on to sites very often, but tend to dip in and out. So don’t expect too much from me!
Well I did a similar thing and logged on on my 60th birthday (I still hate the ‘S’ word lol).
There are lots of lovely people here who are willing to share their knowledge and experience with anyone, and they will make you laugh so much too. Hope you have a great time here.

BTW, my real name is Deirdre - my brother when he was a baby couldn’t pronounce it and it came out as Deedee. It stuck, but I like it!
