Haha!
So you’re an Ovid fan too, then?
Is Deal or No Deal still going? It was one of the last quiz shows I remember before ditching TV.
You haven’t got a TV Ffosse…?
No, it was sitting there for weeks and months without my using it so I thought, “why bother?” I do have Netflix, though across my devices and I find that and You Tube suit me fine.
I think there are a lot of people going that way Ffosse, TV is getting so disappointing some nights, hardly worth the licence fee. I usually watch the quiz shows while I’m cooking and then eating my dinner in the evening, and then after washing up Im just in time for Coronation Street or a documentary.
When we go away on holiday though we very rarely put the TV on, and I never miss it. These days I’d sooner come on here and talk to REAL PEOPLE…
Good point.
If I could be sure that all the TV programmes I watch routinely could be watched on channels such as Netflix, and that I would be allowed to watch only those channels without having a TV licence, I’d seriously consider it.
I do detest having to pay the ‘TV Tax’ to support the politically biased BBC.
The licence fee is going up in April to £150.50, daylight robbery!

A question on The Chase, word to describe products made for
limited life. The answer was planned obsolescence.
From Wikipedia, The rationale behind the strategy is to generate long-term sales volume by reducing the time between repeat purchases (referred to as “shortening the replacement cycle”).
That figures.
