Uber driver going off at the staff because he can not get his order immediately.
Raising his voice enough to have the manager come and tell him to stop shouting and to wait his turn.
The look he gives here is pure arrogance.
I’m with the Uber driver, I can’t see the point of fast food if it is not fast, didn’t Maccas used to have a time limit? If it was late it was free.
My local Maccas is useless (not that I have been in the last 24 months) but FB is full of complaints about long wait times and when the order arrives it is wrong. It generates more complaints than all the other Wollongong/Shellharbour stores put together.
Personally I can’t see the point of shouting at some poor 17 year old manager, write to the franchise and never go back.
The fact of the matter is some Maccas are hopeless. When I used to organise senior’s bus trips, we would call into Maccas for a snack and the free coffee. Some were excellent and had us all served within 10 minutes or so. Others flew into a panic and took half an hour. It was not the small ones that were worse either.
A small one in The Oaks served an entire bus load of 20 within 12 minutes I even wrote them a good review on Google I was so impressed.
I haven’t bought anything from there for years. I think a coffee was the last thing I bought and it was pretty good coffee (and cheap). But they have a franchise business model, so performance will vary although the product should be the same.
Managers are no longer allowed to shout at Staff, that goes against the principal of Fast Food, as does the provision of “Waiting Bays”
When I used to use the drive through and they asked me to wait in the waiting bay, even with no other cars behind me, I would refuse and stay at the window.
They would get mighty upset and one of the staff let slip that their performance reviews included “Total Drive Through Wait Time”
He said it will look bad for him if I stayed at the window.
My response was so you are trying to manipulate your efficiency by falsely showing customer not a the window.
I would always wait at the window if there were no other cars behind me.
Who would have thought it, KPI’s at McDonalds? that would make me annoyed, one should at least be on Min wage + 50% before KPI’s kick in!!
I’ve never seen the attraction of McDonald’s, just don’t get it. The worst example I saw was in Madrid some years back. You could smoke and buy cheap beer to go with whatever delights you choose to eat. Not only was there the usual debris left all over the tables but fag ash and smelly beer spillages…class!
Chilli, we are talking driving through, not nipping in to absorb the ambience.
Nice one chilli, or may I call you Ronald?
Surely the way to avoid having to hear customers behave immaturely is to go get your coffee in a more grown up coffee shop.
There seems to be people like that all over the place Bretrick.
Entitled ignorant cretins.
They do ruin it for everyone simply out for a peaceful time.
Unfortunately they are everywhere. No getting away from that fact.
Very true Bretrick.
They show themselves up to be just what they are,as i wrote above.
To be fair Macca’s coffee is pretty good (certainly as good as any chain coffee) since they introduced McCafe in Australia and employed a barista. Not only that if you are a pensioner you get it free (same at Hungry Jacks).
I used to buy their 50c Ice cream and ask for a seniors coffee and throw away the ice cream but, alas, they got wise to that.
Australians are coffee snobs, Starbucks went broke here selling expensive, inferior coffee - I suspect Costa would too.
Said it before, say it again, Coffee stinks.
Obviously a gem worth repeating.
Not really probably, won’t stop the culture vultures.
I prefer my own coffee. I add two whole green cardamom pods to the electric mill when grinding the beans for a little intrigue and depth of flavour.
And I ain’t even cultured!
There might be a gap in the market for Curry Coffee!!
You heard it here first>
