As a pensioner I get a free permit to all the National Parks in NSW.
It used to be a ticket that you put on your dash, then they registered the car rego. Someone pointed out that a pensioner could be in someone else’s car so now you also get a permit for when you are in another car.
It saved a fortune when my daughter took me to the snow fields a few years ago.
I haven’t gotten anything yet. Thanks for the reminder. I’ll have to give it some thought.
I’m sure you’ll be enjoying your present all year.
Saw some half price shoes in Russel & Bromley the other day £220 > £110.
Bought them and said happy Christmas to myself.

Arthur Brough ( Mr Grainger ) was the leading light in the Arthur Brough Players in Folkestone when I was growing up but he saw the writing on the wall for repertory theatre as the influence of TV grew and moved from theatre to Film and TV.
Sadly the Edwardian building his company used as a theatre is falling into disrepair as the owners neglect it hoping it will fall down so they can redevelop the site.
I may treat myself to something or other. Problem is I have an expensive birthday and Christmas coming up and to pay for which leaves me a bit short, so I may have to put off treating until the new year.
A great shame Bruce , losing something seemingly insignificant but special in its own way!
