I was watching the movie, Braven, set on the Canadian Island of Newfoundland.
The cafe menu has Cod Tongues for $15.99
Have you ever tried them?
How are they cooked?
Tried them once and that’s enough. It was a set dish in a meal in a fish station in Sweden.
Luckily the northern lights appeared so I was able to dump it.
The tongue was slimy and rubbery. When I cut into it the inside was ok. As to how it was cooked I’ve no idea.
Cutting in to it was like trying to cut a balloon.

I am with you there. With so much food to choose from, why pick fish tongues?

You’ve got to try everything once.
Having said that, I’m not sure I have. The Portuguese make a kind of fish brawn which I’ve had, and I wouldn’t be surprised if fishes tongue is in there. Jolly nice!
