Roses are red, but there are also pink, white and yellow varieties
Violets aren’t blue, they’re violet, hence the name

I’ve never heard of that tradition…anyway after Johnny Depp let me down in his recent court case I wouldnt have enough names to make it fun so I won’t bother this year
