I hope you all have lots of cards, flowers and loving hugs!
Why do we celebrate Saint Valentine’s day?
Saintt Valentine’s Day is celebrated in honour of the 3rd century Roman saint, Saint Valentine who was executed for refusing to deny Christ by the order of the “Emperor Claudius” in the year 269. Before his head was cut off, Saint Valentine restored sight and hearing to the daughter of his gaoler. Because of later folk traditions, it has become a crucial cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and love in many parts of the globe.
