No that is far to pretentious and dare I say yucky.:smiley:

Yeah, it doesn’t work unless you do US date format, :confounded::frowning:

Well, a very Happy Pi Day to you too. Did you have pie? Hope you enjoyed

I was just reading up and you’re supposed to celebrate at 1.59 pm, to get even closer to Pi

Sounds like it’s grown to quite a big “Day” with shops and restaurants joining in, what a laugh

But I can’t get my head round using US date formula, typical stick in the mud Brit, me!

So I’ll have to give this one a miss and just look forward to International Talk Like a Pirate Day! :pirate_flag::pirate_flag::pirate_flag::pirate_flag::pirate_flag::pirate_flag:

Can we have a predecimal pi day on the 22nd of July?

Beware the ides of March.

Julius Caesar, murdered on this day (15th) in 44 BC.

The Ides of March has been one of my favorite days since childhood.
School days must have locked it in my head. :slightly_smiling_face:

Is there a connection between Pi and the Ides of March?

Only if the Ides are circular.

I prefer geoidic…
:joy:.

That’s a new one on me so I’ve had to Google it. Still don’t understand it.

"The geoid (/ˈdʒiːɔɪd/) is the shape that the ocean surface would take under the influence of the gravity of Earth , including gravitational attraction and Earth’s rotation, if other influences such as winds and tides were absent. "

It is close to being a sphere.

Thanks. That’s what I thought but I couldn’t quite get my head around the definition I found and read.
