I usually have a hot cross bun for breakfast on Good Friday - but I didn’t this morning because I was rushing to go out very early for a 100 mile drive on an unplanned mercy mission.

I did have a lovely toasted and buttered hot cross bun for elevenses when I arrived at my destination though.
I didn’t ask what brand of bun it was but it was deliciously fruity and fragrantly spiced :+1:

Bought them from our local bakery this morning - spicy but not sugary/sticky.

They sound very nice, more authentic

Sadly, We’ve only got one real bakery near us and it’s a way away

But I did get some Easter biscuits last time I was there, they are well packaged and it says last to 18th April, so looking forward to those :+1:

They really are delicious and I bought extra to make bread and butter pudding on Sunday.

Not what I would call a true “crisis” but it’s all relative, I guess - families, eh? You’ve gotta love ‘em!
