Well, firstly, the list looked like names…so I went down that road.

Getting the o and the d so early on was sheer good luck.

It took a while, but ‘Coolidge’ was the key; the -oo-, and the position of the -d- in the word.

The -oo- was a good start.

The position of -d- three letters from the end is also distinctive… could have been -der, -den, -dle, or -dge, those being the most obvious.
It was just luck hitting on Coolidge quite soon in the process, though.

Then at first I thought the link was American Presidents, though, but Calvin didn’t fit.
Googling Coolidge threw up Rita, and then it was just reading her biography and then eliminating things like other country singers, cover songs, etc., which were my first thoughts.

Then I read that she’d sung a James Bond song…

Just luck, really!
