An S perchance?

I’m taking a gamble here, but I think it is:

The following all had 2 Top Ten hits with the same song (in different years)

Prince
Ben E. King
Chubby Checker
Queen

well done Pyxell you are of course spot on with names and connection

Prince – When Doves Cry (#1 in 1984 and #8 in 2016)
Ben E. King – Stand By Me (#4 in 1961 and #9 in 1986)
Chubby Checker – The Twist (1960 and 1961) (#1 both times)
Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody (#9 in 1976 and #2 in 1992)

Holy Moly Pyxell!!!
How didja do that???!!!

Nicely done Pyxel

Well, with the Cs and the unused letters, I suddenly ‘saw’ Chubby Checker. That made me think of 60s hits. I went down several wrong roads at first, especially as that single letter was intriguing me, and throwing me too, but with the 60s connection, I suddenly thought Ben E. King.
Got nowhere dwelling on the 60s, so started to think of No. 1 hits, but no joy. Then one-hit wonders, but no joy.
Then I realised that Chubby Checker and Ben E. King both had had two hits with the same song, and that’s when it fell into place!

I like puzzles!

Edit. …I’m going to be a bit tied up today, so if you don’t mind waiting, I’ll do one a lot later today or tomorrow…otherwise anyone feel free to jump in and provide a new one.

Did you have a nice birthday, Ruthio? Did you go away?

You’re very clever Pyxell!
Yes thanks, smashing birthday thanks, lasted from Friday through til last night. Despite the dreadful weather various family managed to drive here Saturday and we had a great meal out and then a day at home yesterday withith lots of nonsense at home with the kids (old and young!). I felt very special and very blessed.

Right on both counts !! Glad you enjoyed yourself.

New game…

Okey-dokey, here we go…
I don’t know if this subject has been done before, but hopefully not!
