Hair!

 I hadn’t really thought of that.
The tooootally dude reminds me of what the turtle said in “Finding Memo.” He was so cool.

Ansolutely. External beauty is merely skin deep and fades. Internal Beauty comes from within and is eternal.

Hey Beautiful Filly,

Perhaps it was the reflection from your hair that I’m seeing and I can’t blow that picture up any to see. Plus it’s the same picture as the other one.

Your hair is long then. Do you wear it up in buns or French braids? When you go some place special do you get it professionally done or do it yourself?
It’s something I’ve wondered about when I get a bit older is what hair styles will I be able to manage.

My hair was dirty blonde until high school. Then it was a chestnut brown but I was a redhead for much of my adult life.

That’s interesting about your family.
Were you born here in Canada?
Did your parents have strong accents ?
We moved to Canada when I was 5 and I had the strongest accent that I tried to get rid of. Now I love an England/Irish/Scottish accent. It sounds nice.

Say hi to a Blue for me.

Speaking of hair extensions. They truly can look amazing. Check out alysha keys rainbow coloured extensions. She wore her hair like this while she coached contestants on the voice. It was truly beautiful.

I dislike all this ‘false stuff’ false hair, false nails, false faces that look like a mask, false body parts, false women.

Hair extensions ruin the ends of natural hair , they are sewn or glued in, this is great for the industry because users have to keep replacing them .
I know from experience (looking after overseas 6th form girls in a boarding school ) that hair extension shed strands and block showers and drains. Some of it is synthetic and I dread to think what it does to wildlife.

Generally speaking , I hate hair extensions also. The subject was brought up so I figured I’d put it out there and while I ‘did’ find alysha keys hair tastefully done for the show, I generally dislike them also.

They definitely ruin hair, but I hadn’t thought of the damage they’d do to the earth and our wildlife. It’s actually quite sickening how far humanity will go just to ‘look good.’ It takes vanity to a whole new level . That’s a good point.

I’ve only had fake nails once and that was only because I was a ‘maid of honour’ and the bride wanted all the women’s nails done. Well they looked great for a week or two but they destroyed my nails.

Then there’s fake eye lashes, flake Botox ‘ed lips, flake breasts, butt implants, coloured lenses, and the list goes on and on.

It DEFINITELY is propelled by industry wanting to make more money off of us.
We are constantly bombarded by society to conform to what they decide is beautiful but is it really? I’ve even seen a real life Ken and Barbie. Real people who’ve had so much plastic surgery to look like plastic dolls. It’s sickening and outrageous but people do it.

https://www.google.ca/amp/s/sputniknews.com/amp/viral/201803091062374563-real-people-barbie-ken-dolls/

WHY?

Even funnier is the guy who spend a mere $597,000 and more than 60 plastic surgeries to look like a Ken doll. Now he doesn’t want to look like a Ken doll and has decided he would really prefer to look like Barbie instead. Does it get any weirder?

:044:

Another thing I’ve often wondered about is who actually likes this? And to think there are people worried about being seen with no make up on.
Imagine living with someone like this???
It takes vanity to a whole other level!

I prefer real myself also Meg. We are turning into plastic people. It’s pathetic but that’s humanity for you.
Just another reason to LOVE my dog MORE!

Thank you Bratti, but they all passed away a long time ago.

That is a lovely thing to say, Bobby. Thank you & applies to all of us, male & female.

Yes, it does… and you’re welcome.

Just seen your earlier post, Bobby, I totally agree with you.
Tiff you ARE a beauty for ever.

I totally agree, I don’t think it enhances a person’s appearance, often just the opposite.

Yes I assumed so but I lost a brother in 1979 and looking at old family photos is still ‘bitter sweet,’ and figured it might be for you also.

In a way it is, Bratti, but remembering the good times is nice. Thank you.

Hi Bratti,

Bad news, I didn’t get my spray for my hair yet…boohoo

The good news is that I got my first cataract removed yesterday and the next one will be in a couple weeks or so.
Now, I don’t think I will be able to do it until after my second operation heals…so I am just going to have my fun from reading about everyone else’s hair.

I have missed you, and everyone else on this thread as well. Hope you are all having good times with your hair.

Blue

Hi Blue, I’m so happy that your surgery was a success. That’s very good news. It makes sense to only do one eye at a time, otherwise you won’t be able to see.

I missed you also:hug:
Now go out and get your hair colouring spray.

With the condition I am in, I am not able to even wash my hair, never mind colouring it. It’s a longgggggg story, which I will share with you when you get PM. I think I have it now, not sure tho. I hope you are ok…

Hi ya Blue and Bratti…

Blue, I am so happy that your surgery is over, at least until later this month… :049:

Well…I do believe that I’ve found the colour that I’d like to try…when the time comes. It is absolutely gorgeous and rightly named “Rose gold.”

Take a sneaky peek:

That is such a lovely colour Filly. It will look beautiful on you. I think I am going with…hmmm, can’t remember right now. hahaha. If the next cataract is as “challenging” as this one, I won’t be doing any colouring at your home until June. I have a patch over one eye and can’t see out of the other because my glasses got broken. They are taped on my face right now.

I presume you are just doing some strands, (like highlights), not all over colour like that, right?

Hi ya Blue…I know eh…when I saw this colour I knew immediately, this is the one I want to try.

Sorry to hear, that your surgery was “challenging” but hopefully the other one will go off without a hitch…

Oh no, not broken glasses…but the vision of you with tape holding your glasses on your face, is embedded in my mind now…

I am going to wait until June also…cuz, it’ll be much more fun to wait and do our colouring together… I am not sure but I think just some strands…and the kind that washes out…

That rose gold is one of my favourites. It’s more subtle than the rest of them. You’d probably be best just doing some individual strands. While the colour is nice, it does change the texture of your hair. I doubt you’ll want to do your entire head.
When I first saw the picture I thought that was your hair.
