Surprise - the Greens win the by-election in Gorton. A strong local candidate winning over all the rest. Helped in no small way by the clear messaging from Polanski over recent months.
Labour booted into third place, no doubt hit by multiple factors least of all their support for Israel’s “war” in Gaza not finding favour with the regions Muslim communities. Makes you wonder though if Andy Burnham been allowed to stand would he have been better received.
Lots of bleating from Reform. But their candidate was very dreadful and very London.
Interesting turn of events.

They are winning seats all over the country. Probably the closest thing to old labour, now that labour is more tory than the tories and leaning towards reform.

What a brilliant speech too:
More and more and more people are waking up - and seeing that people like Starmer and Farage are only working for their rich mates, and they are trying to make fools of everyone else.
And of course SHAME on the BBC for not including her speech in their story. The BBC really have turned into a scum machine - they are just there to enable the ruling classes and to keep everyone else subjugated and dumb.

TBH I don’t know too much about what their policies are
But haven’t they said they’d legalise drugs like heroin and cocaine and the date rape drug ?
I can’t see the British public going wholeheartedly for that.
Though it is an indication of how frustrated the public are getting with the traditional parties.
He’s not wrong - currently all drugs are doing is funding big crime, probably by state actors.
Polanski said “the war on drugs has absolutely failed, and ultimately we need to be having a public health approach”.
When asked about implications of this for the taxpayer, he replied, "Well, I think voters are having to pay right now for a crime that happens, for the fact that people are in the illegal drug markets, for gangs that we see across county lines.
“All of this is a failure of the fact that, again, for far too long, Prime Ministers have stuck their heads in their sand and said, if we just make drugs illegal, everything’s going to be okay.”
Personally I think the only ones that should be legalised are the ‘natural’ ones, like cannabis and mushrooms - both of which now have proven health benefits. A health-led approach like he is saying is better than what we have atm.
Either way - the least of our problems. The biggest cancer in society right now, are the greedy ruling classes (who are probably behind the drug issue anyway!)
