Yep, our favourite scents are definitely worth a mention! :slightly_smiling_face: A daft question perhaps, were your allergies cured Ambre?

Most of the above for me but I also like the smell of tobacco in the pouch, not a PC smell but I am a smoker & put my nose in it to get the lovely earthy aroma every time I make a ciggy.

A freshly bathed infant swaddled in a freshly laundered white towel …MMMmmm!!!
A wonderful smell and feeling that will never leave my memory. My children, then grandchildren and now my great grandchildren in my arms in turn. Yes, a gift indeed!

‘Evening in Paris’ my mum’s perfume from way back. It has always reminded me of her.
Petrol…I remember playing in the shed and sitting on Dad’s motor cycle pretending to ride it…There was always the smell of petrol and various oils in containers on the shelf.
Perhaps why I became a mechanical engineer…

I like the smell of new books - a wander around Waterstones is my idea of time well spent, of course I can’t come away without a sample to take home :books:

When I was teaching I often encouraged my class to sniff new books, I wonder whether any of them still do that :grinning:

Ah, I remember it well but plastic notes just don’t smell the same when I filch them off Mr M.

Ohhhh. Happy memories.
We used our bus fare and walked a mile to school. Just to buy and share a loaf. Of French Bread.
Sniffing as we queued and every bite.
Despite the claim that we were only improving our French lessons.
Put into detention after school for being late. Writing a 100 Lines of. “Pas de pain”.
Never detered. Or. “Painful”. :innocent:

My favourite perfume was Norman Hartnell’s In Love. Sadly no longer available new & second hand way above my price limit & no certain way you’d know it was still fresh after all these years. Wish I’d kept a bottle unopened now.

The smell of stables & horses.
I worked in London for a while horseless, but every day on my way to & from wok I’d smell horses & a stables, never did find out where they were though.
