Google's billions make job cuts 'needless' - union says

In the technology fields, many workers are working to make their jobs redundant. People who work on AI could find their jobs replaced by the AI that they were working on.

Google has been eliminating jobs, some because of consolidation with purchased companies but also for some working on Alexa, their chatbot.

The union for the workers is saying that because Google has enough money to pay them, Google should retain these employees?

Is that a good policy, retaining workers based on the premise that there is enough money in the company to pay them?

That is the risk, when you do a “Virtual” Job.

It’s called ‘progress’ Spitty…Jobs will become a thing of the past. Everyone will be on benefits and able to sit at home with boxed sets, talk to bots, and play computer games all day…

That is a horrible vision, folks need real jobs.

In that case we need to cut ourselves off from the rest of the world and produce our own stuff in house Spitty. Whatever it costs.
