As the wind howls around the house and rain rattles against the window we come to the end of another day. Quite extraordinary temperatures of seventeen degrees C, but apart from that it’s been nothing special, and the 19th of December will sink into the quicksands of time and will not be referred to again.
John Lewis did not make a fuss with our return of the broken Vacuum Cleaner, and exchanged it without argument. I will continue to favour them with my future custom. Excellent service. It just remains now for someone to guide the mechanical dust hunter around the neglected carpets and floors of Fox’s mansion, a job for Mrs Fox I believe while I lace up my running shoes and take to the roads.
I grow tired now after today’s excitement and crave the comfy and warm cocoon of my bed. I will drift away to the sound of the inclement weather outside. Goodnight all, and we’ll do it all over again tomorrow. What surprises might Sunday hold?
