Good Morning Wednesday 9th August 2023

Morning all!

Spent a bunch of time looking for things I need that I haven’t bought in a long time at my store online. Loaded the cart and purchased. Should be delivered today.

Slept less than I wanted. Hopefully I can catch up soon.

Other than the delivery, no other plans. Still binge watching a tv show I’m really enjoying.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Butterscotch and all who follow

Supermarket then later collecting my youngest grandson Stanley…he is staying for a couple of days…can’t wait he is such fun!!

Have a good day everyone

Morning all, lovely and sunny here.

Off into Gorleston Town this morning, hitting the shops.

Have a nice day all.

Good morning!
Bright & sunny

I’ll be off to the shops very soon, wending my way round the one way system to call at 3 or 4 shops & supermarkets as I’ve let my stock of fresh food and other items run out - this was planned, as I don’t want to hang on to stuff that never gets used and gets out of date

Nothing much else planned, though I expect that when I get home and have a proper look at the receipts I’ll have to have a sit down and recover with a cup of tea

Morning all.

Hopefully a visit to the allotment today, see to that greenhouse frame and the mystery of the missing connector. And I have to somehow do the top ones.

Was nice and quiet this morning, no little boys thundering up and down at 6.15, 6.30am. I woke up at 7.15, a decent time for me.

Enjoy your day xxx

Good morning
We have a Blue Blue Sky , not a cloud to be seen , happy days are here again .
I did a lot of pruning the shrubs yesterday and made them into small trees ,my garden looks wider , plus i potted up some new Hostas ,
Im getting into dividing perenials , and taking cuttings , Im successful with Fushias, Hostas , and Pieris.
Im fighting a battle with the slugs, I think im winning .

Have a good day everyone .

How are you winning what are you doing…I am battling with snails .
I don’t like to mean to them, I’ve given up tipping them over the hedge as I believe they are some kind of homing snails .

I go out late at night when its dark with a torch, I collect them ,and dropping them in a salt bath , , no return ever that way .I also have snails .

Good morning AWL! We were out at 0800 for a nice stroll with our wee dog and Bo Didly, also a Springer Spaniel. They are very companionable and we have had them just a few weeks:

I’m a woos I don’t want to hurt them :flushed:
As I only grow flowers I try to pick varieties that slugs and snails aren’t so keen on, it seems to be working most of the time

MODERATOR - Feel free to move this Post to another Section

I’ve just finished the shopping trips that I mentioned earlier
Among other places I went to LIDL and bought several items, including reduced = 30% off

But for the first time I bought a reduced fruit & veg box
I’ve opened the packs and counted the items; for £1-50 I got -

19 nectarines
3 oranges
22 tangerines
13 chanteray carrots
9 white onions
10 red onions
4 beetroot
2 red peppers
3 vine tomatoes
5 bananas
1 bunch spring onions, about 10
1,5 kg new potatoes (approx 3lb)

Most were in reasonable condition, with no damage or mould/rotten
But the beetroot & carrots were a bit tired & drying out; I’ll leave them in a bowl of cold water overnight to swell up

I’ll definitely look for this again!

Good morning all!
It’s a blow away the cobwebs day, we Metrobussed it to Worthing this morning. The fishing platform/landing stage is now open on the pier so I’m hoping to come back next week and maybe catch some doggies.

We’re in The Rose and Crown having a drink before going for lunch in the super fish and chip restaurant on the seafront.

Have a good day people :slightly_smiling_face:

Sadly, Max died in March. We now have the little Springer Spaniel. A little gem!

@Besoeker Yes I know Max passed away just your photo is of two Springers I wondered if you had acquired a second. I suspect not now though. Lovely dogs though
