Good Morning Wednesday, 8th April 2026

Good morning once again. Another pleasantly warm day in the high 20s, no rain forecast for the rest of the week.

Went for my walk as usual this morning and blow me if I didn’t have a fall. My own stupid fault for not looking where I put my feet, I leaned over to press the walk button on a backstreet set of lights, I stepped on the edge of the concrete path, rolled my ankle and went down like a sack of potatoes. No damage done except for a grazed knee, a young fella walking his dog helped me up. So embarrassing.

Finished my walk OK and decided to fly my drone for a bit when I got home which was a bit of fun. Wanted to take the slow traffic on the freeway but forgot it is school holidays so there was virtually no traffic at all

The top left hand corner was part of my walk today where I cross the road (mostly a suburban walk) but not where I fell over.

Anyway that’s my morning. Have a good one.

Take care…

Morning all – another lovely sunny day :sunny:

Well, it is official, I have definitely lost it! Some of you may recall my struggle to remove bags which appeared to have sewn into the bottom of a larger recycling bag supplied by the local authority. My neighbour called in at the weekend, looked at the bag, looked at me and said “those aren’t bags that is the weight to stop the big bag blowing away”!! Really, I think there is no hope for me now although in my defence I was told there would be other bags inside the bigger bag!

The old gas fire is being removed and the new electric fire installed today – not sure when they will be arriving or how long it will take – just hope they can overcome the pile of bricks I found at the side of the house!

This evening I have someone calling with the possibility of her cleaning for me – she has been recommended so hopefully this one will work out!

Take care – have a good day

Good morning!
Sunny, clear, dry

A leisurely morning so far – in fact most of my mornings are leisurely now, it seems to take ages for me to get organised & moving

Morning all…

A bright warm sunny day (for once) here on the south coast.

Just come back from my walk and look to see how the wildlife is getting on. The swan is patently sitting on a nest, but couldn’t see if there were any eggs. The two pairs of Canada geese have disappeared somewhere and there is an assortment of ducks, coots and moorhens in evidence, despite all the trees and nests that had been torn away.

Anyways, Wednesday is chores day here, which means there’s nothing too exciting going on here. Maybe have a coffee later. Need to get to the shops at some time to buy a few tools, in light of my breakdown I had the other day, which I hopefully won’t need again.

Anyways, have a great day…

:sunny: :+1: :grinning:

Yah, mine is due to the fact that I have no control over my ankle or foot since the nerves in my back were damaged 26 years ago, I just have to make sure my foot is on a flat surface before putting weight on it, a few mm can make all the difference. walking on grass requires constant vigilance, I mean, I didn’t sprain my ankle but I have very limited feeling in my foot.

When this first happened I actually toppled over quite a few times but of course I was a quarter century younger, now I am very good at staying upright normally, this was an aberation (I hope)
