Good morning to all you purveyors of daily news. It is another warm day with just a breeze to keep you cool(er)
I’m in the NT and a different time zone, am half an hour behind where I was yesterday. Drove the 440 km to meet up with the Stuart Highway and am staying at Threeways Roadhouse (you can go north, south or east from here)
Fuel is $2.35 a litre so I filled up at the Barkly Homestead then topped up my tank with the 20 litres of fuel I was carrying.
BTW I overtook one of those cattle road trains today, I took a photo, maybe will put it up later. Heading north tomorrow, only a couple more stops before i reach Darwin.
I also overtook some cyclists - nearest habitation 200km back or 120km further on. Mad!
Have a wonderful Wednesday, the weekend beckons.
Take care…

Hi
Thanks for the photo of you overtaking the Roadtrain Bruce.
You would not have been doing it on the Shrewsbury Bypass.
Darwin, a fisherman’s dream.
I had it all planned out until the last heart attack and Covid.
Enjoy your day all.

Yes, that is true but everywhere you go to eat they serve Barramundi until you are sick of it, same with the northern part of WA. The thing is they serve Barra at my local club in Wollongong.
I must admit I’d rather have a croc or a camel burger as something a bit different. or more exotic.
They’re great if you’re not actually going anywhere, you get them near Mt Isa, in the Flinders Ranges or, indeed, Wollongong because of the terrain but all that steering is so annoying. Makes it easier for the sat nav

It’s sunny today and I’ll try to find time to finish off some digging and sifting of soil that I was doing yesterday in preparation for planting a hedge. It might have to wait until tomorrow though because it’s nephrostomy dressing change time this morning and friends are coming around this afternoon. We usually go walking if the weather is good.
Have a good day everyone,

Morning all,
Looks like another sunny day down here in south Hampshire. Not sure what’s in store today, have to give “Mrs G” a lift to the gym later this morning, maybe a bite to eat afterwards and possibly some shopping a bit later. We managed to get some free tickets to visit a local National Trust property (House and gardens) so we’ll need to find a spare day to fit that in.

Good afternoon everybody, nice to hear some of you are having a sunny day, it’s a bit mixed here, clouds and sunshine, cooler today too. Keep-fit class was fun this morning, trying to keep up the fast rythum, doing our Michael Jackson moonwalk and other wildish movements!
It’s good for the mind too, a real stress release.
I thought I’d contribute to the “photo session” with some pictures I took in our town during my morning walk yesterday including a picture of the town hall.
This evening we will know if a new Pope has been elected but it probably won’t be so soon, the “conclave” could last three days.
I’d love to drive along a wide straight road, I haven’t seen one for years, only hilly, winding roads here!
