Was awakened by blasting music as I was trying to catch up on sleep. Later in the night, there was a lot of illegal fireworks. Out of curiosity, I measured the decibel level that clocked at 95 Db for one of those “bomb-like” fireworks.
I also recorded some of it on my phone with the siren wailing in the background.
The air is acrid with a sulfur smell. I wonder how people can afford to literally burn that much money in about an hour. Or where everyone goes to buy illegal things.
Out to a neighbour’s for a cuppa and goss this morning. Then after lunch, might get the laptop on and updating, and see about transferring over 1,000 photos off the iPad, before Apple shut down Photo Stream. Need to make sure they are somewhere safe. It will also free up space on the device.
I had a busy day yesterday… I thought I had a free day but isn’t it funny how sometimes quiet days turn into busy ones…I’m determined today is a day for pottering…we will see
I have a medical review this morning for diabetes & asthma but I’m not expecting any problems, in fact I’ve lost a bit of weight recently and feel quite good
I expect they will moan about cholesterol and try to get me to take statins again, well blow them!
I had side effects and stopped taking them; in any case, my cholesterol level is typically just at the top end of acceptable, but acceptable nevertheless
Also, I see that fat & cholesterol are now not considered to be quite the Big Baddies they were.
Then in the afternoon I’ll probably go to the supermarket, and catch up with mail
morning everyone

Good morning from Foxy’s world…
Out early this morning and put in a very satisfactory 4 mile walk/jog so I could get to do the Tesco shopping early…Just traffic queues around every bend and temporary traffic lights up everywhere.
Shopping was successful and so was breakfast…Off to watch the tour-de-France from yesterday now, and then sort out some more trig points for my forthcoming expedition…
