Good morning happy forumers. Another sunny winter’s day here today. On my walk it was cool but pleasant enough but a wind has sprung up since which will certainly help dry my clothes on the line but makes it feel even colder.
My walk as I said was very nice this morning, just wore a light jacket in the sunshine.
On my return home I wandered down to the pathology lab with my urine sample, for some reason Medicare only allows them to use two forms from other labs each day, as I had three yesterday one had to be sent off today. Silly but that’s the way it is.
I went to Big W after the path lab to buy another T Shirt for my UK trip, while I was there I saw a pet food scoop for $1 and decided it would make a nice garden poop scoop for when I have doggie visitors. At $1 if it is no good it can go in the bin.
Back home I washed the new clothes and also threw in the ones I have worn since my last wash on the weekend, they are flapping about on the line as I type.
Am sort of planning what to take on my trip to the frozen wilds of Canberra this long weekend, it gets well below 10° there at night, I rarely visit in winter so this is slightly new to me.
Well, that is my day so far, keeping busy. Enjoy your Wednesday.
For some reason I was so tired yesterday , fell asleep before 9pm and didnt wake up till 6am this morning .
Ive stopped taking Sugar in my Tea, and Im not missing it yet ,I don’t have anything to do today other than cleaning .
Tomorrow is another Concert Day, Orchestral this time which I can sit through without getting out my seat to dance…
Have a wonderful day all …
I was thinking that if you spent your lifetime going out into space you would never get to the end. It is mind blowing.
Today overcast and still warm with nothing planned
I did that while I was still working. I had replaced sugar with those tablet things but after a few days decided that was a bit silly and tried making tea without either.
From memory it only took me a couple of days to get used to the change, I was surprised how easy it was. Now tea with sugar tastes really awful!
Ive not gone a week yet ,but I’m okay with it…I had gone from 2 teaspoons down to one a few years back…so from 1 to none maybe not so bad on the taste buds .
I’m trying to lose a couple of pounds, hope this will help
Like many families of my (our?) generation we always had sugar in tea & coffee when I was a boy in the 1950s & 60s; I tried it without a couple of times, and definitely didn’t like it
Then in my late 20s I had put on a bit of weight and made an effort to lose some, including cutting out sugar
It happened to be about the 1st or 2nd of a month and I thought - I’ll give up sugar and make a determined effort to stick it out till the end of this month, that’ll be just over 4 weeks
If by then I still want sugar in tea & coffee, well at least I can say I’ve had a serious attempt at giving up
After about 4 or 5 days I hardly noticed that I didn’t have sugar, and I’ve been without sugar for decades now
A couple of times I’ve visited people who’ve made me tea or coffee with sugar in it, and I thought, Oh well, I won’t say anything, one drink won’t kill me – I found it so sweet & sickly I only managed about half of it.
Yes - I also did things like –
changing my diet, but not too severely, just cutting out stodge & biscuits
only going to the pub one night a week, and mostly sticking to, ie nursing, halves
going for walks & doing Canadian Airforce Exercises
Over a few months my weight went down from about 92kg to about 79kg and my waist from about 38" to 34"
(Yes, a mixture of Metric and Imperial!)
