Good morning to you all on what I hope is either the penultimate or final day of this heatwave, it all depends on when the rain arrives.
I have spent most of the morning working on what I laughingly call my Network Cabinet. It is just a small Ikea type cupboard with holes in the back for cables and contains my router, switch and now a couple of NAS. Basically I added more ventilation and mouse proofed it (there were signs a mouse had ventured in).
Apart from that it looks like another indoor’s day with multiple showers (I had several cold showers yesterday). This arvo I might edit a video I was working on.

NAS = Network Attached Storage (basically a fairly large storage/server available to any device on my network but with some level of protection from disk failure)

I’m going into town soon - breakfast in Wetherspoons, and a couple of errands & shopping
This will include getting up to date statements of a couple of bank & building society accounts as I’m thinking of shuffling my money around
Nothing planned for the afternoon, I might do a hobby, or make a cup of tea and get under the duvet for an hour or two

I think my in-laws will have to start looking for a home for the bewildered for me! Living alone I batch cook and freeze individual portions. Yesterday morning I took what I thought was beef casserole out of the freezer, in the evening prepared the vegetables opened the container to find it was Bolognese sauce!! Well at least I know what I am having for dinner tonight!
Today’s plan is a visit to church for a gathering of the more “mature” members – there will be free coffee and a talk by an invited guest – usually very interesting

A rest day today but had to be out early to take Mrs Fox for an appointment with the physio at the hospital. We beat the early morning rush hour traffic and sailed right through to the hospital and even found a vacant parking spot in the hospital car park… …It cost me a fiver though…
After being bent, pulled and twisted she eventually came out and declared that it wasn’t as bad as she expected…Throw down your crutches Mrs Fox…
Anyway she stayed in the car while I did the Tesco shopping.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, she’s got an appointment this afternoon for a mammogram
I told her to ‘make a breast of it’…
Chucking it down with rain again so a good job it was a rest day, sun’s coming out now, and tomorrow looks good for the morning walk…Life is good…
After lying around making cooking lists is my head, I finally fell asleep around two and then shot out of bed early to squeeze in a quick run before starting the marathon of Thanksgiving cooking. We are having a small get together, company coming at noon to celebrate festivities tomorrow, so I had better get on with it.
I hope the weather is lovely today and the appointments and chores are easy enough!
