Good Morning Wednesday, 26th November 2025

Good morning all. A day of extremes today, temperatures in the mid 30s but later expecting high dry winds so we are in a total fire ban with extreme fire danger.

Not much chance of fire here I would say, we had a short sharp thunderstorm with 2 cm hail, it only lasted a few minutes but the noise was horrendous. No sign of the wind yet but the humidity is supposed to drop into the teens.

I was up early to buy milk and water the plants (waste of time it appears) before it got too hot, at the moment it is probably in the high 20s, that hail cooled things down, no hot westerly wind yet.

Enjoy your day.

Take care…

Morning all…

Cold and frosty day today, here on the south coast of Hampshire. Done some shopping yesterday, with more today. The wife is frantically cleaning the house as a precursor to putting up the Christmas decs, which for us is a two day affair with the amount we have. Putting up decs is something I don’t look forward to with each passing year and could do without the hassle and aggro it causes me. Wouldn’t normally have them up until second week in December, but they are going up early as we’ll be in New York in a few weeks time.

Anyways, have a great day all…

Hi

Not a lot to report, well nothing interesting to others.

It is cold, so heating on all day.

I had a visit from a District Nursing Sister yesterday, they have an acute staffing shortage, so back to the GP as it is a Medical not a Nursing problem.

I have been buying on Black Friday on Amazon.

I have 8 deliveries due today, nothing special just everyday things I use and need at an average saving of 30%, substantial over a year.

Today is the last day for a while for Shona to be here, then away for a few days, Kinga is back Friday which will be good.

Life is so boring I will have to watch the Budget.

I may well be back with a rant.

Have a great day all.

Good morning!
Very cold again with frost on the ground & cars
It was a clear blue sky but it’s clouding over slightly now; still sunshine though

I’m not feeling too lively - sniffly with a strange sensation of being warm yet cold and shivery at the same time
I should be warm enough as I can afford to have the heating on and as I used to do a lot of hiking & backpacking all year round I have loads of warm clothing - at the moment I’m wearing down filled slippers, thick fleece pants & jersey, and a down filled body warmer

It’s Men’s Shed this afternoon but I suspect that I’ll give it a miss and spend most of the day under the duvet, which will be a shame as they are having a combined Christmas Fair & Social with the Community Centre

Oh, the good news is that my car had its service & MOT yesterday with no problems or cost apart from the routine standard fees.

Now I’ll have another cup of coffee with a dose of whisky in it, and see how I feel

Rest day today, so no walking in the sub zero temperature just a skate across the Tesco car park for the weeks shopping.
Off out with friends to a faraway garden centre…Catch yer all later…

Good morning from cool Florida!

Long story, but the east coast trip was cut short, so I find myself back at home with an empty fridge and pantry. Off to rectify that soon.

It was a very pretty and gorgeous few days on the Space Coast. Although their sand is not as sugary as it is here, the shoreline is flat and packed; perfect for long strolls and running.

Sanderlings with the Cape Canaveral launch site in the background:

Another view of the cape far away with Cocoa Beach (remember I Dream of Jeanie?) to the left:

A sure sign the swamps the Okefenokee are not to faraway:

Have a lovely day!
