Good morning everyone, it is midweek and cool (18°) but yesterday’s rain seems to be heading off toward the Kiwis.
When I checked the rain gauge this morning, it registered just over 10mm for the previous 24 hours which we probably needed. So all good.
Personally I haven’t done much this morning other than get ready for tomorrow’s seniors’ meeting and AGM, also prepared a report on the association’s annual conference later in the year.
That has been my morning and it is now actually early arvo (nearly 2pm)
I am a bit worried by the state of the aux battery in my car, even thinking that I might put the old battery back in, this one is a bit of a dud.
Going into town this morning, for a haircut & shopping at the Community Shop
Might walk in and have a browse round TK Maxx, which is en route
For the past few trips into town I’ve managed to keep out of the pub - I wonder if I can keep it up?
Woke up to a strange noise outside the bedroom window this morning - couldn’t figure out what it was until i realized it was a ‘torrential’ downpour of rain. It only lasted a few minutes, and now dry again outside as if nothing happened.
I’m sure i didn’t imagine it.
Off to town later to do a few bits and pieces, stopping off for coffee by the river, but not until my meds delivery, which they cancelled yesterday, has arrived safely.
They give you a two hour slot, which is very helpful, othewise you would have to wait in all day, and meds can’t be left with a neighbour.
Had one or two things to attend to in town today with Chilli jnr. Definitely business and pleasure. He’s off to Glasgow next week for hols with family, actually buying the tickets and reserving the seats at the station was painless, helpful and efficient, sod doing it online!
