Good Morning Wednesday, 22nd October 2025

Good morning all on what promises to be a hot (very high 30s) and windy (gusts up to 90kph) day! A total fire ban is in place with the fire danger rated as “Extreme”.

Got my washing on the line virtually as soon as it was light to try to beat the strongest of the winds.

Had an appointment at the optician, my eyes have deteriorated over the last six months so I have an appointment for a couple of months time to see an eye specialist about cataract removal.

On the way home noticed that the power company has done their annual butchering of the trees.

That’s a Paperbark or Tea Tree BTW, no idea of its proper name.

Anyway that is my morning so far, have a good one.

Take care…

Good morning all

Ive been away for my Sons wedding The wedding went off with no hiccups, Sunday night i was up late making the Brides wedding Bouquet,

and helping with the table arrangements , And traditional Garlands that were put around their necks .

The Bride wore a Traditional Bengali Red wedding dress with loads of glitery embroidery .She looked

amazing .As did the rest of the wedding party.

On Monday the rain kept off while having the wedding photos taken outside in the woodland setting .

The whole day was filmed on video camera along with still photos .

There was2 meals on the day , I had lamb shank for my first meal along with mash and greens

the meat was falling off the bone it was that tender.

In the evening we had more guest arrive for a Curry meal , and another tradition was The Gate ,

The Groom had to complete task and pay over money before him and his Grooms men and grooms

side could pass through to start the evening session .It was hilarious fun.

We stayed over for 2 nights , Bride and Groom are on honeymoon now .

Have a nice day all .

Good morning - Grey skies but dry and still. Not how it will be later according to the forecast. A storm is on its way. Still hospital visiting in the afternoons. I really hope that will end soon. It’s into the 3rd week now.

Do you remember a tree in UK nicknamed ‘The jigsaw puzzle tree’? A large evergreen that had bark like jigsaw puzzle pieces. Maybe a local thing but we used to pick pieces off it but in doing so, you had to give the tree something in return. In me and my sister’s case, it was a scrap of paper with ‘thanks’ written on it. Tucked it into the bark.

Good morning!
Sunny, clear, and dry

My recent camping trip was pleasant enough - no rain, and met a few friends
I’ve spent the past couple of days packing things away
Not much happening this morning, then I’m going to the Men’s Shed this afternoon

Dilemma
If you overfill a cup of coffee so it runs down the sides , is it because you put too much into it, OR is it that the cup is too small?
This is what one pondes about while having a bath. :017:
