Good morning Wednesday 22nd June

Good morning all, just getting light outside and looks like being another hot summer’s day… :sunglasses:

I’ll be baking bread this morning and preparing a salad for lunch but no other plans as yet, so if nothing crops up then I’ll probably waste the afternoon in a deckchair in the shade with a book and a cold beer, such a hard life this retirement…

Wishing you all an equally pleasant day

Yet another sunny winter day. Some mad people go for a winter solstice swim, not this little black duck, mind you it is not such an event here because the sea is probably warmer than the air at 19°. However in Tassie it is a different matter at the Dark MOFO, they do it naked.

Anyway I am stuck at home waiting for my Ikea delivery - 1200 to 1800 according the text I received! Six hours seems taking a bit of a liberty to me but there you go.

The council changed my bin today, they took away my 120 litre red bin and have given me a shiny new 80 litre one. Still far too big for the land fill I generate each week but they don’t do anything smaller.

Anyway have a good one…

Hi

Good Morning Barry and all who follow.

Annoyingly, I am still on hospital time, 4 am start.

My usual Wednesday Carer cannot come today, so Rhian, next door, is coming to do some techie bits for me.

A Uni student, very techie and her hobby is photography, so will be teaching me how to use my camera.

Have a good day all and stay safe.

How do your neighbours circumnavigate all that razor wire?

Hi

The razor wire is on one side, the nasty one.

They have taken the hint.

They are persistent however and have now taken to driving across and parking on the grass outside the front of my house.

More fun to be had.

An early good morning from me. I hardly slept at all last night.
Later this morning I’m meeting my friend for a short walk followed by lunch.

Have a good day all…

Oh, the excitement and anticipation! Just received a text saying that my delivery is an hour away plus a link to a map showing exactly where the truck is.

So pleased was I that I snuck out to the garden and painted my house number on my new garbage bin.

Does life get any more exciting than this?

Put some calthrops in it, Swimmy, that’ll learn 'em!

A bloody invite would be nice

Alfs walk then mens shed then in the garden soaking up the sun.Enjoy

Good Morning/Afternoon everyone.

Already too hot here for me - so windows open - curtains closed - all fans on full - and I am hibernating in the Craft Room - coolest room in the house.

Good morning all, hot and sunny already.

Off to the Opticians to pick up my glasses, then heading for the shops and late breakfast at Morrison’s.

Swimmers, who looks after your Fish for you when you are in Hospital or not around?

Have a nice day all.

Morning all.

Not sure what I will get up to today. Maybe testing out the battery jet wash I got yesterday (it arrived just a minute after I got home from the cafe meet).

I did use it in the afternoon to clear some seagull poo from the car, before I went out yesterday evening, but I need a big bucket. I tried it with a watering can, all I had. The hose needs to be fully submerged, which if I had read the instructions first, I would have known. Duh.

Wednesday already :grimacing:

Just waiting to see if my contract will be extended again but it looks doubtful as all external consultants must be from India now. They are trying to raise an exception for me but I’m not building my hopes up. Oh well I could do with a change after 5 years on this job.

I’d love to be involved in the music industry more and doing what my friends are doing (one is tech for Shania Twain in Vegas, another with Steel Panther/Metallica and another with Yes) but getting in there is so difficult, even with my connections. I’m also getting a bit long in the tooth and not as nimble around the stage so left it way too long.

Oh well, there is always Pimms in the garden I suppose

Hi

The nice next door people.

Dad looks after things when his daughter, Rhian, is not around.

Fortunately for them, but unfortunately for me, they will not be around much longer.

They have an inheritance and will be away.

Good morning!

It’s a nice warm sunny day, and I feel reasonably lively, but let’s not get carried away

Off to the supermarket soon; I usually go to Sainsbury as that’s the nearest and easiest to drive to, but I think I’ll try ALDI for a change

I have a knife that has been nearly finished for days, and I want to do some more work on that, but it’s such a nice day I may well go for a walk instead

Afternoon all.

Another late start today, but a better day so far. I went to a live masterclass that was wonderful.

It looks like it will be a scorcher today but I’ve heard some wind outside, so I’m hoping for some cooling.

A nap sounds nice about now.

Have a magical evening everyone.
