Good morning to every one on a warm sunny day, temperatures are likely to get into the mid/high 20s.
It has been quite a productive morning for me. First I took the car to get the tyres pumped up and fill up with fuel for tomorrow’s trip. Stuck the battery on charge when I got home for no other reason than I can.
Then I mowed the grass outside my block and the front garden, didn’t do the back lawn because I sprayed that with Bindie to kill the clover.
Finally I replaced the old faded Do Not Park sign on my gate with a new one, bit of drilling and pop riveting involved in that. These signs fade too quickly in the sun in my opinion. I have sprayed this one with clear enamel paint to see if that makes any difference.
Good morning - A grey and gloomy outlook at present. I’m up and about after 24 hours spent mostly in bed with a cough and feeling not too good. Had to cancel a dental appointment yesterday in consideration to them and because I don’t think I could have made it there. I’ve slept loads and I think it has helped. I shall now try to find my ‘get up and go’ nature again. Mrs mart needs the hospital visits,
I ought to get outside later and cut the grass. It will probably be the last cut of the year. It doesn’t look very inviting out there right now though.
Today is my eye appointment at the local hospital, the one I missed last month. After that, coffee. After that, no idea. Not much going on beyond that.
I’m going camping for a few days starting tomorrow so I’ll spend some time this morning getting stuff organised
Then it’s the Men’s Shed this afternoon
Just back from another trip to the dump with the acorns, got back and collected another 2 bags off the lawn. soon it should be leaf collecting time as there are signs that the leaves are begining to turn brown on the trees
An early morning funeral for a friend, it was a bit of rush to get ready.
He was in the navy and so we all had a tot of strong navy rum…By gum it didn’t half knock yer socks off…
I do love the food at funerals and weddings though…The little sandwiches of ham, cheese, egg and potted meat, with the crusts cut orff, plus the mini sausage rolls and pickled eggs…At least, that’s what I thought they were…
The crematorium was absolutely chock a block, he was very popular, and he would have loved to have been there, especially for the rum…
