Good morning all, there is a real chance of some useful rain over the next few days, it is definitely needed.
My visit to the eye specialist yesterday went well, I will have a cataract op on one eye in mid February.
Went shopping after my walk today, even bought a couple of pork pies for my lunch over the next few days.
Not much else to tell you just looking forward to getting more than the odd millimetre of rain.

@Bruce Congrats on both pieces of good news! You’ll have rain soon, wow, that will definitely ease the heat. And congratulations on the eye operation as well. I’m really happy for you. In the near future, your world will surely look even more beautiful.
There’s not much happening here today either. I still have a slight cold, but I’m going out for a body massage soon. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I had a thought: this year I really need to take better care of myself. I need to start looking for a good eye cream and drink plenty of water from now on, if I don’t want to look like a 100-year-old lady

I should have a black t - shirt delivered today Amazon willing. It’s an experiment with a photo I took and scanned… probably not one to wear in church 
I’m thinking about getting involved with some homemade kidney bean burgers later, plenty of chillies involved… naturally!

On my own today until 7pm, an acute shortage of helpers.
Some testing of the water in the marine tank , sitting down exercises and catching up on the TV programmes I have recorded.

Damp and misty start to the day, but the Sun’s out and will dry everything out.
Supposed to be visiting the opticians today for an eye test which was booked months ago. Yesterday I had a phone call from the office to cancel as they decided to have a fire drill and to reschedule for a couple of week’s time. The best bit in all this was the optician actually called me and wanted to confirm the day’s appointment and ask a few health questions - who was oblivious that the office is allegedly closed. I suspect somethings going on with them and I’m being messed around.
So that’s messed up the day and left us at a loose end, so we’ll have to find something else to do - but it will start with my usual coffee.
