Good morning one and all on another cold winter’s day.
This morning I attempted to deliver a toy made by a friend of mine to my Grand Niece, My sat nav couldn’t find the place, it drove me round and round the rabbit warren of streets until I just got fed up!
It is in a massive development west of Wollongong on the only building land left in the Wollongong area. Annoyingly I have been there before but I was taken in someone else’s car. Anyway the doll is a Bluey, a cattle dog, much loved by kids I am told, looks a bit scary to me.
A misty start to the day here in West Sussex.
On my first coffee of the morning and very much enjoying the peace and solitude. There’s something to be said for being an early riser.
I’m quite taken by Bluey Bruce, rather cute! Scary indeed, consider yourself lucky, this is scary!
The fridge is now pristine and sparkling after my endeavours yesterday. Next little job is to replenish it after a meeting in town this morning. ASDA here I come.
Morning all – lovely sunny day, birds are busy on the feeders – really lifts the spirits
Went out for dinner with my lovely neighbours last night – they refused to let me pay for myself – say it’s a thank you because they are off on holiday today for almost 4 weeks and I will be looking after the beast while they are away. He has just phoned, just discovered an ants’ nest outside their back door and the ants have started to come into the house – he has blocked up where he thinks they are coming in but he just wanted to warn me!
OK about to have a whinge!! I live close to a park and every day I see people taking their dogs there, the vast majority of who are lovely. Most mornings for the last couple of weeks I have found a small pile of dog poo on my drive. Yesterday saw the “lady” whose dog is responsible (caught in the act) I asked her if she was going to pick it up – her reply “No because it makes me feel sick”!!! A friend has suggested I get a water pistol and spray the dog every time it comes onto my drive – but it isn’t the dog’s fault – wish I could spray the owner but she never comes onto my property!!
Will take advantage of the lovely weather today and get some laundry done – apart from that not much else planned
A bit grey and cloudy with a strong breeze today, having just come back from my daily walk and awaiting my coffee. It’s “chores” day today for me and Mrs G, laundry, cleaning and generally tidying up, so not much else happening here beyond that. Still deciding if I need to buy a new lens for my camera, which would be nice for our cruise in a few weeks time. Will probably decide by the end of the day. It would be nice to have, but its expensive and have to weigh that against possible use.
Good Morning Everyone…
Usual Wednesday stuff completed, the early visit to Tesco and M&S for tonight’s dinner. Shepherds Pie for Mrs Fox and Cottage Pie for me…Yum!
I was feeling under the weather myself yesterday, I think I did too much in the garden on Monday. I don’t seem to recover very quickly these days.
Had a call from my daughter this morning needing my help. Citroen have recalled her DS3 something to do with the airbag. Not bad, she’s been driving it for the last 14 years…
Anyway, they told her she has to go to York to get it fixed, apparently the Evans Halshaw Citroen dealer in Doncaster has closed down.
So I did a bit of research…Evans Halshaw have closed several of their salerooms and garages. People are holding onto their petrol and diesel engined cars and not buying new ones. When I bought my car last year the bloke said that they weren’t selling many Electric Vehicles, not enough to justify the staff and buildings. I guess this is the way the motor trade is going now.
the moon is going to be the closest tonight the next time is in year 2042
Look up tonight! Full Strawberry Moon will be the LOWEST in UK skies since 2006 - here’s the best time to see the rare phenomenon
