I’m having the opposite reaction to rain. I’m thrilled. The weather here is very different.
I’ve been doing a lot of tasks over the last couple days that have been stressful so I’m thinking of taking a break today.

Just finished clipping both dogs so now enjoying a steaming brew before doing anything else, which will no doubt include cleaning the bathroom… wow, what an exciting life I lead…

I’ve been busy in the garden for the last few days but the house needs some serious dust removal due to the builders so I will be busy indoors today …its a nice busy though as at least work has started so I don’t mind the dust

it’s pouring with rain and we really need it here, you can almost see things growing after weeks of dry weather.
No sign of the runner beans I planted outside yet. I had to replant the ones I grew indoors because they grew in a strange way with ‘brown hats’ on. Instead of the shoot growing out of the beans which remained in the soil, there was a stem with a root and the bean on top like a hat . This has never happened before and I am wondering if it has anything to do with the very light no peat compost. I have started a new batch of spare beans indoors using a different heavier compost.

it has been raining heavily here which has resulted in small ‘ponds’ on the roads.
Had to go into town to the bank this morning, couldn’t have picked a worse day. My back was playing up and had difficulty walking. Glad to get back home.

Cats and dogs all morning and, as soon as we’d returned from shopping, it rained even harder. It finally stopped about ½hr ago.
Sunny here, 80 deg F. Blue sky, lots of time to decide what to do with my day.
