Good morning from a wet morning/day. It is supposed to be wet along the coast today and tomorrow, in fact a warning has been issued for flash flooding though that shouldn’t affect me. 6mm of rain overnight. Thunderstorms expected this arvo.
Good mooooorning Vietnam! Hello everybody, hope you’re all keeping well. After a fair few weeks I’ve finally remembered my ruddy password for this place Happy Wednesday to you one and all
Nothing exciting today, grey, cool, windy with thunderstorms later.
Very low blood pressure to day and had to increase my blood thinners, bleeding and bruising from even minor day to day activities, so no bathing allowed.
I do like my baths, but today I have had to be a good little patient and follow the rules.
Dry shampoo, electric razor, large sanitising bed bath wipes, face wipes, hand and feet wipes etc etc.
The room has a very strong hospital type smell about it.
Can’t say for certain what’s going down in this part of the world. Managed to cut the grass and trim our hedge in our garden and now have a car load of cuttings I’m waiting to get rid of. Glad I did it yesterday as its now wet outside.
I also need to find a replacement screw which fell off the lawnmower as the captive nut is held in a cheap plastic housing that broke. (Nothing is made to last these days!). My parcel I’m waiting on never arrived either, so that’s another day of hanging around.
Mrs G has been frantically buying a new evening dress for our cruise (in less than a year’s time!), so by the time she has changed her mind two dozen times, moaned about sizing and the sparkly bits falling off, it’ll be ready just in time before we go. That’s before we fall into the shopping abyss of looking for matching shoes, bag and everything else to go with it.
A solo Tesco visit this morning, Mrs Fox wasn’t feeling herself…
A few short bursts of heavy rain with more to follow, accompanied by thunder, lightning, and a plague of frogs…
Interesting how the weather will be colder than average for the next couple of weeks, so all the hot weather will be averaged out by the end of the year…Global warming Pah!
Batteries arrived for my digital vernier today, they have just dropped through the letter box while writing this. I’m glad it was Royal Mail, they are still a helluva lot more efficient than most of the other delivery methods.
The trouble with the vernier is, that I don’t use it all that often and the batteries are only alkaline and lose their charge while sitting on the shelf. I’ll test the vernier and see if there is still a drain on the battery while switched off. If there is, I’ll have to start removing the battery when not in use.
Looks like you are in for a fair bit of rain Bruce, but as you warm up…We are cooling down…
The summer seems to have flown by this year…
I just stay connected to the forum Terry, it saves time and I’m on here every day.
Sorry to hear about your drop in blood pressure Swimmy, I also suffer from low blood pressure as opposed to high. Sometimes when I stand up from a chair I don’t know whether I’m on this earth or Fullers…
Good afternoon everybody, nice to see you all. Had a real facepalm moment, we’re trying to move house, photographer came over to take the pictures, we hadn’t taken stuff off the washing line, photographer didn’t think to tell us - nearly uploaded the pics on Rightmove only to realise they show our garden with hubby’s boxers and my bras right there on the photos Going to need some retakes! Anyway that’s my day, how have you all been?
Good afternoon everyone, grey, gloomy, windy day today, heavy rain is expected this evening. It’s still very warm, hopefully it will stay this way, too early for Autumn. We usually start getting cooler days after mid October. My exercise class has started again, after the Summer break, lots of fun expected there, throughout the year.
Tomorrow, my cousin from London is coming to visit with her husband, they’ve come over for a short break, staying at their holiday home, in another village not far from me. We’ll have lots of catching up to do!
They will be staying for lunch, so I’ll start cooking later on, this way I’ll have most of the meal all ready and prepared for tomorrow, otherwise I won’t have time for our natter, will I, if I’m running around the kitchen all morning?
That was a close escape Tracy, glad you managed to stop those photos in time!
I can hear the thunder getting nearer… and here’s the rain, yes it’s pouring down now!
Speaking of more tea vicar Tracy, don’t you still owe us a longer retelling of your wonderfully rude Alice In Wonderland story involving your poor friend?
My rain gauge has overflowed twice, some areas received 180mm but my gauge only holds 60mm before it overflows so I only know that so far I have had at least 120mm.
Not sure how accurate it is, just a cheap Big W $5 gauge.
