Good Morning Tuesday, 8th July 2025

Good morning all who follow here, for me it is cool overcast day, I think the temperature will only get up to 17°.

Threw all my washing into the washing machine early because while it is overcast it is supposed to remain dry. Went shopping while the machine was doing all the work. Bought a new shower caddy because the old one is getting so rusty through the chrome it was embarrassing. The trouble was it had so many hooks an loops that it was really useful and the newer ones just don’t have them but you can only hold on so long.

Spent sometime trying to repair the bottom of my bedroom door where the ply is coming away. Normally I would just buy a new door but this one is so old it is a non standard size and would have to be specially made. :frowning_with_open_mouth: so repair it is.

That’s my morning so far, am thinking of a trip to Bunnings this arvo.

Have a good one.

Take care…

Good morning from Wales…
Nice sunrise over the Irish sea but it’s clouded over a bit now. The3 mile long promenade is a runners paradise but a walk will have to do for me.

A warm and sunny day ahead. We will go supermarket shopping when our daughter brings the car back. The builders will be here soon to do more work on the garden room. I think they will want paying today. That will be a shock  Some work to do on it myself this afternoon. Finishing the day with a 5.30 p.m. appointment at the doctor’s. A blood test for Mrs mart.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all! :sun_with_face:

A nice sunny day in store… can’t be bad.
I’ve been up with the lark as usual and planning the day ahead. I’ve loaded a new battery into the vintage SLR film camera and attached a yellow filter. We have a preseason friendly football match tonight at a local non league ground. I thought it’d be an opportunity to take a few shots with the camera and get a bit creative! :camera: :soccer:
Also it’s a chance to have a beer and chat with some of the local faces, a community thing. Come on you Reds!!! :japanese_ogre:

We have lift off…

The basil has germinated in the upcycled Pepsi bottle propergator. The lid is off and it’s on a sunny windowsill, the young plants will enjoy the impending heatwave :sunglasses::+1:

Have a good day people :sunflower:

Morning everybody! Making our way back from the Lake District today, so having a strong coffee before a long drive. I’m saying that as if I’m volunteering to do any of the driving…

Exciting morning here, Sue informed me that she had mislaid a garage door key fob for one of the electric roller doors. Easily done but an initial search in the car where she had lost it I could not find it. So out with an LED lamp and moving the electric front drivers set fully forward there it was tucked in a tight corner. The thing is it is black, why not make it in a bright yellow so it can easily be seen beats me. Guess it is typical ot those designers who only think through half a product.

So we are now back to having 2 fobs for each roller door. Because of this and a previous loss by****, not me I have ordered a couple of spares . They only have to be programmed in. I always like to have a backup o hand for most things.

Yep, that clerk is one lucky lucky bugger! I used to have that postcard as a teenager, many a happy ‘moment’ spent imagining his view

Or just add to this thread  : https://forum.over50schat.com/t/saucy-stories/108507
