Last night, on her way back from her tattooist my daughter picked up KFC, a Zinger Burger Box for me, I quite enjoyed it, She knows I don’t like the fizzy drinks that come with the meals so she negotiated a larger bottle of Coke for herself.
This morning before she returned to Canberra she treated me to breakfast at a local cafe which was nice of her though I actually prefer cereal at home (shhh!).
Today I visited the Big Potato at Robertson (usually known as the Big Poo), it has been transformed into a pig for the thirtieth anniversary of the filming of Babe in the town. I think it looks much better than the potato.
Good morning - yet another nice one. We’ve just been talking to our granddaughter who is in Sydney. She’s doing OK there. Another cup of tea for us and then going freezer shopping in Iceland (the shop not the country ).
I rode my bike to the allotment yesterday to see If I was still OK to do so. No problems I’m pleased to say, so a bit more riding this afternoon.
Time to start taking the camera around with me. I’ve got the phone camera of course but prefer to use a compact with an optical zoom. It has proved to be a robust little thing. You can tell it’s been bouncing around in my saddlebag over the years.
Morning all – lovely sunny start to the day, although cooler than yesterday
You have my condolences Bruce!
Saw a couple of things yesterday, one which made me cross and the other which made me smile.
First going around the supermarket 3 boys in their teens were playing football in one of the aisles! They were totally oblivious of (or couldn’t care less about) the elderly couple in the aisle who were trying to shop. I was about to say something when a rather large security man arrived and told them to leave
Secondly, after the gardener left I took advantage of the sunshine and went for a walk in the local park. A little girl was trying to ride her bike, her father (I assume) was next to her holding out his arms to catch her if she fell. Suddenly she got it and pedalled for a short distance (Dad running alongside), she stopped gave her Dad a huge grin, Dad clapped and then gave her a big hug!! That made me smile!
Good Morning from Foxy’s World…
Isn’t reading an anti-social hobby, after deciding that the neighbours outside light was beyond redemption, a few words were said as it was committed to the black bin and transported to it’s final resting place…
After discussions abut health issues (the main topic of conversation when mature people meet) crime in the area, and the forthcoming mayoral elections, I refused the offer of a cup of tea (a traditional method of payment when someone does you a good turn in Yorkshire) and left with the promise of installing the new illumination device upon purchase…
The rest of the day was spent on my chair out front, shorts tucked in my wangers for maximum exposure to the legs, drifting in and out of consciousness in the sun with a good book, trying to avoid any contact with fellow humans looking for conversation…
I love my Canon @mart far superior to the phone camera…
A morning well spent👍
And to cap it all we picked up a delicious platted loaf from the Polish deli, it’s hard to define the taste, both sweet and savoury
