Good morning Tuesday 7th July 2026

Good morning one and all…

Just come back from my daily walk in the sweltering heat down here in southern Hampshire. There is a stiff breeze in the air, so it’s not going to be as unbearable as it was a few weeks ago.

Today, my good lady is off with her sister for her weekly gossip catchup, the subject being the ongoing issues with the sale of her late Father’s house, which seems to be dragging on for months with no end in sight. I have to get to the bank to deal with some money issues and later have a moan at Amazon as to why all my parcels seems to get delayed and then cancelled a few days after. There is stuff we really need and its becoming annoying that we don’t get stuff we ordered.

When I’ve dealt with that, there is the small matter of the monster that is our tree in the garden which needs cropping down, as it’s growing out of control. I also need to spend a little time testing a new lens filter before our cruise which is just over four weeks away.

Naturally, life does not function until the coffee is poured, along with a bacon sandwich - possibly a sausage in a bun and maybe a muffin (or two) just to keep my strength up and brain switched on, which is getting difficult these days.

Have a safe and excellent day all…

 :coffee: :cupcake:

Morning all – do I need to say the sun is shining!

Today I was due to meet up with a friend in town – unfortunately I seem to have picked up a bug and was ill for most of the night so had to cancel. This is the 4th time we have had to cancel our meeting (first 3 were down to her!). I believe the universe is trying to keep us apart!

Someone’s alarm went off this morning – I was the only one who went outside to check it out. I sometimes wonder what is the point of having alarms if no-one takes any notice of them.

My only plan for today is to take it easy and hope this sickness passes quickly!

Take care – hope everyone has a better day than me!

Let’s put it this way…Today, I looked at and it looked back and the tree won. So I will leave it for another day - possibly tomorrow or later. Besides, I had a few errands to run and it’s a little late in the day to get all hot and sweaty and I don’t want to have bags of cuttings going bad in my garden, as I always try to get rid of them on the same day, to save the smell in my car as I can only go to the recycling centre once a day.

It really needs doing or I’m going to get elephants nesting in it. Maybe make a start tomorrow…or Thursday…or Friday…

Hi Graham

I am sorry to read about your problems with Amazon.

If it is any help to you, I am having exactly the same problems as you are and I find it very annoying, especially with Amazon’s new AI Customer Service Fiasco, which gets you nowhere fast and is just one big, useless merry go round

Oh yes … sounds absolutely wonderful. You’ve helped me decide what to nibble tonight.
