The remains of Cyclone Kirrily passed through over night dumping over 60mm of rain on my (the noise woke me) but it is now on its way out to sea leaving cooler less humid air in its wake.
BTW that is more rain than fell in the whole of January.
Yesterday I farewelled my daughter and helped load her old car on to its trailer for the trip back to Canberra (it’s a Suzuki LJ50 if you like cars - I asked) together with her mother’s ashes urn (my ex wife obviously).
Just got back from taking the dog for a walk once the rain stopped, the skinks were out in force sunning themselves on the footpath (and driving the dog mad with their presence).
It is another day of early morning marking. Half term is on the horizon, and the kids are itching to go overseas in March for an end of term trip to either Turkey (Antalya), Malta or back to Amsterdam. Not sure, costs are high, but have not been overseas since lockdown back in 2020. Even heading out to Ireland or Scotland is costly. Though Scotland is looking good right about now.
At least we have something a little more exciting to look forward to.
Tai Chi session this morning, then shopping in the afternoon
I have more or less recovered from the cold that has been dragging on for the past couple of weeks, let’s hope it doesn’t come on again
Despite the miserable weather for the past few days, surely spring can’t be that far away?
I seem to have been cooped up indoors for ages, apart from brief trips to the supermarket, and I’m looking forwards to getting out & about
Good Morning from Foxy’s World…
Blowing a gale with rain in the wind as I struggled along the towpath with the wind in my face and feeling a bit rickerty. No best times today…
