Lots of fireworks going off. Other than that, it was a quiet day. The weather cooled down a lot. Still trying to catch up on sleep. It’s difficult to sleep through fireworks that sound like bombs sometimes.
Another day of seeing how it goes today.

A bit dull but dry, and surprisingly cool - I’ve put my heating on for an hour or so
I came back from my long weekend holiday a day or so early as it was becoming more & more difficult to change gear, so I’ll be taking my car in for a new clutch
Huh! of course, it would happen when I was on holiday
And I have the usual unpacking, tidying, and washing to do
I realise that we are now half way through the year, which, as usual, has taken me by surprise
So I’ll make plans for more trips away while the weather is good

we had a Thunder storm yesterday and some rain , When Ellie started on her Panic attack I gave her one of her Diazapam the Vet prescibed , and it worked for about a couple of hours , I was told to give her 2 , but I didnt want to go the full prscription till i knew how it affected her .
Today Im waiting for a parcel , a couple of Tops I bought in the sale … Half price ! It pays to wait for them to drop in price .
@zuludog what a shame you had car problems , thats going to hit your bank balance , my Sons car needs some clutch work .

I rang the GP Surgery at 9, as requested.
I was greeted with a message saying I was number 76 in the queue, such is the NHS at the moment.
Happy 4th of July to all of our American cousins… 
Bad luck about the clutch Zulu, hope it’s not too expensive…

You should get priority at your surgery Swim, that’s just ridiculous!
Folks with a cough or a poorly thumb should go to the back of the queue…
Nothing much happened yesterday, and the same again today…Did my walk this morning and at two miles, saw a friend coming the opposite way, so I walked back with him and had a nag…
We had a bit of rain yesterday so it saved me watering the lawns, everyone needs to save water otherwise there will be a hose pipe ban and I’ll not be able to water them…
Off to catch up on yesterdays Tour-de-France. I record the highlights and watch it next day…Can’t be doing with all those adverts…
Morning all,
No work today, going to catch up on some housework, ironing etc. I’ve been to the mill pond with my son to feed the geese and ducks before the storm comes… the sky is darkening
