Good morning all you forum folks out there, another cool sunny day, I think it is only going to get to 17/18° again today.
I got some mowing done yesterday but want to get the rest done today (outside my block). While I was out yesterday morning the council came along and cut down a small tree that had been growing just outside my block, I am still getting used to the gap! I presume it is to improve sight lines for the road junction.
Walked to the mall to post some letters and buy milk, it was an interesting exercise - I posted a letter to my brother in the UK it cost me $3.50 (£1.75), to send postcards to Australia from the UK cost £3.15 ($6.30) nearly twice as much. One of a few things I noticed in the UK that cost about the same in pounds as we pay in dollars. Don’t worry there are plenty of things we pay more for than you (food for example).
Talking about differences:
Apart from a bigger box (more pieces) the UK one is Nestles isn’t it? (both made in the UK)
Weetabix:
Weet-bix
Different textures, the Oz one is made of bigger pieces of wheat, you only notice it when you break it up, the Weetabix are much finer pieces (verging on powdery), little difference in taste though, I’d happily eat either.
Well, that’s the thought for today ![]()
What are you up to?
Take care…
