Good Morning Tuesday, 3rd November 2026

Good morning everyone, I am afraid I was missing in action yesterday after coffee and cake.

It’s Melbourne Cup Day when those jolly Victorians get a public holiday to celebrate a horse race, of course most of them take the Monday off so they have a very long weekend.

It is wet and cold here at the moment, the forecast says it will reach 25° but I will believe that when I see it. The old cardigan is on to stop me shivering as it is probably only 20/22° outside at the moment and cooler in the house. Received nearly 14mm of rain last night.

That’s enough of me grumping, enjoy your Tuesday, have a good one what ever you are up to.

Take care…

Morning all

Wet and windy here but not too bad

My daughter is picking me up later for a drive to our favourite charity warehouse, it’s huge and sells everything you can thinkof at very good prices, we usually arrive with a couple of bags of donations and leave with three with stuff we’ve bought !

Enjoy your day

Morning all! :sun_with_face:

A chill but sunny start in West Sussex. I’ve a brief online meeting this morning and then popping over the road for a few supplies. I’ve just cut down a 1.5 litre soft drink bottle

They make rudimentary propagators. I’m going to start some winter Basil for the windowsill, it won’t be as bushy as a summer sowing but still useful! :yum::spaghetti:

Have a mellow day people! :maple_leaf::fallen_leaf:

Good morning to all that follow…

Just come back from my daily walk in the nice bright sunny weather, down here by the seaside.

Today I have a massive bruise on my arm when the nice nurse emptied my left arm of blood as part of my annual check-up, which is now incredibly sore. However, I did manage to wrestle my back lawn into submission and now looks almost tidy (from a distance), which will suffice for the rest of the year, assuming the weather doesn’t change and it all starts growing again. The only thing I haven’t been able to do is our large hedge which needs a good haircut and going-over. The trimmer we have (which the wife bought) is so ridiculously large and heavy I can’t really use it with my shoulder injury, as I intended to buy a smaller battery one, but never got round to it. I still have a few smaller garden jobs left before I’m finished and I’ll get round to them when I feel like it.

So today, I am organising my wife’s birthday cake, as we are having a party a week Friday and asking around locally what can be done. As she is very much into outlet shopping, I’m looking to have a cake made with shopping bags, credit cards, handbags and whatnot all made from icing. It’s not her actual birthday until a few days before Christmas, but this is the only day we can summon all her family together and as we are going away in a few week’s time, this is the best time we can do it.

Anyways, my coffee awaits, so I will just wish everyone a great day…

:coffee: :+1:

Up extra early today (4 am here), drinking my coffee and short visit here.
It’s going to be 70 deg F and sunny today! Of course, it’s election Day, and I’m working the polls, being a certified inspector.
Wishing there are no confrontations today, smooth and complete posting of ballots. Checking in at 5:30 am and leaving for home at 9:30 pm. Long Day.

Hope everyone has an easier day today! Enjoy yourself.
