Good Morning Tuesday, 3rd February 2026

Good morning to you all on this slightly warmer but overcast day (mid 20s). Had a little bit of rain overnight (0.75mm), nothing like enough.

Took my car into the smash repairer this morning, they said it could take up to six days. I doubt that myself but I think it is just an arse covering catch all.

Spent the rest of the morning starting to cut up some of the wood I took off my trees while my son was visiting (he used the chain saw I just pointed). It will probably take a few weeks to feed it all into the green bin, I will just cut up a bit each day. The branches over 100mm in diameter will have to be cut to length and go into the red bin.

Still a fair bit to go:

Keep busy, take care…

Hi

Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.

Feeling lousy after my exertions, didn’t sleep well.

Two deliveries due today, so having to stay awake.

I will be glued to the Internet today watching our useless Prime Minister trying to squirm his way out of appointing Mandleson as ambassador to the USA after being warned not to.

Have a great day all.

Good morning all the good people here…

Yet another wet and miserable day here on the south coast, hoping it will clear up later. Just off for my morning coffee before the wife spends the day with her sister and catching up with all the family gossip - which I will have a summery of when she gets back.

Meanwhile, I’ll be off to the bank for a little chat with my savings account, which matures soon and maybe do a bit of shopping while I’m there.

Have a great day all…

:coffee: :umbrella:

Good morning!
Miserable, grey, and dull (the weather that is, not me) but at least it’s dry

I haven’t posted for a few days as my flu bug came back in a big way

To remind you, I’ve had a nasty cold or flu that has dragged on for weeks now, coming and going
You think it’s finished, or at least finishing, then back to square one, feeling awful

Well I was clear and feeling much better for a few days in a row last week, and I thought I was finally out of it, though it has left me feeling weak & tired
Last Friday I had an early night and was looking forward to a fairly normal weekend - Huh! no such luck!

I woke up on Saturday morning with the (by now) usual stuff - sniffling, sneezing, aching, feeling cold & bleary
I spent most of the time either under the duvet or well wrapped watching YT Videos
Things improved by Monday afternoon, had an early night, and this morning I feel much better
Let’s hope it really has got better

And that’s about it … except that such is the way of YouTube that I was presented with Videos on making wooden jewellery
Well I have lots of offcuts of wood and most of the tools & materials, so I thought I might try it, as if I haven’t got enough to do already … we shall see

its so so cold today so not doing much, Had NHS cataract hospital eye check date today to see if i need the op or not. Ordered a couple of ink cart for the printer.
Looked at how to hard wire dashcam on this car re fusebox position and which fuse to piggyback from. did this on other cars we had.
Seems strange just having one car in the garage instead of two, but no point on having 2 cars if the DVLA say I can’t have a licence. Passed driving test in 1963 and still with a clean licence .

Greetings from A nippy South Yorkshire…
Just 4 degrees C when I set off for my walk/run and it had dropped to 3 degrees C when I returned home.
Possibly the reason why I did the best time this year after dropping in some fast bits to keep warm…Mind you, I did feel good.
It’s still quite dark outside with an icy east wind, so soup of the day will be Baxters Spicy Parsnip…Not had this one before… :009:
With all these Baxters vegetarian soups I’m risking going over to the dark side…Or should I say, the green side!
Not on your Nelly… :009:
Had fish and chips for lunch yesterday while out with friends…
:fish:
Vegetarian Sausages with mash and veg for dinner tonight…I’m not supposed to eat proper sausages and I quite like these Richmond Lincolnshire ones…

Hi

Heart attack diets are horrible.

Fish and chips is worse than sausages,

Home made toad in the hole with chicken or 5% fat pork sausages are fine.
