Happy Halloween! to those that celebrate the holiday.
For those of us (me), cowering in the dark, waiting for it to be over, happy Tuesday.
I might have spoken too soon about the neighbors. I heard lots of thumping coming from their house yesterday, all day. Historically though, it’s generally a quiet night except for a few kids roaming around.
Except for getting a bill paid, it was an easy-going day. I watched part of The Voice. I’m hooked on Star Trek Enterprise.
Good morning
Rained all night , and last night we had a Thunderstorm about 6pm, I was releived when my Dog slept through it .Rain is to last several days .
I think its time to build an Ark @butterscotch I was thinking perhaps a good pair of headphones would block your neighbours noise out .
Have a good day
Yesterday was supposed to be a quite day after a very eventful Sunday, but turned out very stressful with my inability to post my adventures on here.
Today I am starting some serious cleaning and upgrading of my house with the help of two local teenagers who are on half term and who want to earn some money.
They will be bringing friends in to move the very heavy stuff and one nerdy brother who can sort out the home automation things I need doing.
Tai Chi this morning, which is held in a church hall on the edge of the town centre
So afterwards I’ll post a couple of small parcels at the post office, which is now a counter in WH Smiths; I expect there will be a queue as usual, but I have to use it as the local sub post office has closed
Still, while I’m in town I’ll do a bit of shopping at Iceland and get the over 60s 10% discount.
Nothing much planned for this afternoon.
Good Morning from Foxy’s world…
Managed to deliver my passenger to Boston Crematorium on time and without event…
We left Doncaster in pouring rain but by the time we reached Newark on Trent the clouds had dissipated and we caught sight of the sun.
The roads in Lincolnshire are long, straight, and bumpy. The roads in Boston are mainly narrow and bumpy with cars parked at either side, making passage and navigation difficult, but after fiddling around with the new sat nav and getting held up at several traffic lights it led us to a dead end street (appropriate) where we found the Crematorium.
Dobbies (the garden centre) was easier to find, but the half an hour wait for my scampi and chips turned into an hour…Mrs Fox had to intervene (kick a few arses) and it was promptly delivered.
Our passenger was soon collected from the after service knees up and we returned home to the rain…Which doesn’t seemed to have stopped all night.
So it was a very wet 3 mile walk/jog first thing along the canal towpath as dawn was breaking.
Shower and breakfast and clothes drying on the rads and another post in the fence of life…
Any Questions?
