Good morning all, dull here, sun came out then went back in again.
Got to take my Cat to the Vets today and also do a bit of shopping, so nothing exciting.
Have nice day all.
After getting back from the freezing cold of Canberra apart from a brief trip down to the garage to get some shoes and odds and ends I had left in the car I didn’t leave the house. It was really windy today with this polar blast affecting most of the east coast and snow down to 900metres in the alps and highlands.
A reminder than winter starts tomorrow.
I rang the Pantry@Corrimal to order 10 meals which have just been delivered at 4pm and are now in the freezer.
A friend visited for a couple of hours in the middle of the day, we had a very nice chat.
Printed out some coin replacements to send to my daughter - in Canberra you need a $2 coin to release the supermarket trolleys (daft idea) I have a design for these things that release the trolley but don’t remain in the trolley coins slot
Gawd I live an exciting life.
Have a good one…
Morning folks.
Cafe meet this morning, but so far I have no idea who, if any, will turn up! Not getting many replies to my messages, and two are not going.
Ordered my repeat meds online. Almost forgot, and with bank holidays looming, hope I haven’t run out of working days.
Morning all, a bit dull here and showers for later they say. We had rain overnight but barely enough to wet the garden, so I’m rather hoping the showers will be heavy…
No plans of any consequence here, just making a curry this morning for the freezer and pottering about the house.
Have a pleasant day everyone
I hope CoCo is OK??
Morning all. Quite a busy day coming up.
Yoga first, then Dentist. Next I must go and pick up some eye drops from my Opticians, and a few bits in Iceland, then hopefully my Click & Collect order from Pets @ Home will be ready for me to collect by then.
I believe heavy rain is forecast for later, so I should be able to test my new water I had installed yesterday.
Good Morning everyone.
All my plans for today have been scuppered. Was putting some stuff out for the charity collection people when my left knee decided to give way. I fell - twisting said knee underneath me - am now in agony and can hardly stand upright let alone walk. It will be a day of ‘Deep Heat’, hot water bottles, paracetamol, sofa and DVDs.
Thankfully I had fed the cats and dealt with their litter box before it happened so I know they will be OK.
Ooh Tabs, that sounds painful.
Hope it starts to ease a bit as the day goes on.
raining hard here this morning when we took Sue’s car in for service and MOT. Definately not used to driving after 2 years+ of not being behind the wheel ,all confidence gone so had to rely on experience mainly. Nothing worse then driving in pouring rain and lack of driving time.
Next time will go for the collect and deliver service instead
Always ice packs for muscle or ligament damage the first couple of hours Tabby to prevent the swelling, heat later on for comfort…
I agree with Barry. Ice first to calm any swelling. .
Good morning everybody.
Tabby - sorry about your injury. This is what I use.
Blimey Tabs, hope you will be ok. What with Emjay and his knee…and Carol. And Susie.
Good morning all early morning rain has given way to sunshine and blue sky and the raindrops are sparkling on the plants and shrubs.
Pottering around the house and garden today with a duster and a trowel!
Enjoy your day folks….
Wishing you well to all members with aches, pains and sprains. x
Morning all!
Currently listening to something that will complement the morning so far.
Washing machine is tumbling along in the background, hum of the traffic outside, and everyone so far this morning does not require anything more than a cursory acknowledgement.
Managed a few minutes of training this morning, and have already clocked up 8k steps so far. Going to head for a 20 minute walk to the shops instead of taking the car and will listen to a lecture on the way. Have a few things planned with the family later today but slow and steady so far.
Have a good one!
update
Just trimmed back the hedge alongside our drive and removed 4 industrial size clear plastic sack full. Another job done
We sound like a healthy lot on here.
Speedy recovery to all those in pain, including myself.
Good morning everyone.
I’ve made up my mind not to let any negativity enter my thoughts today.
It may even work.
Have a great day, no matter what you choose to do.
I think I recognise that M44.
Is it a young man called Pedar Helland by any chance?
