Good morning all, another early one here but I guess as you age you don’t need as much kip as you used to , although I’ve never needed more than eight hours even when younger…
Back over to my daughter’s house today just to do a few odd jobs, I have to match up and fix a couple of lengths of coving to a new corridor wall and I need to box in some pipes, but we really are coming to the end of it now thank goodness.
A warmish day 23° which is lovely and a reminder that Spring is only a day and a half away.
Went shopping first thing for milk and bought some fruit and a voucher for my spare phone for my visitors when they arrive in couple of weeks ($30 for three months unlimited calls and texts plus 4Gb of data)
Apart from that am going to make the most of the warmest day this winter (I think).
Hi
Good Morning early birds.
ST an early morning walk already
My day is starting with a breakfast of morphine and coffee, one of the joys of hospital life, and noises off, someone has had a fall and the dementia lady is on walkabout.
All good fun.
Consultant time today and I do want to get home and try Barry 's recipes. Have a good day all.
@swimfeeders - Hi Swimmy - you are certainly having a rough time of it ! Yes, have been out for a walk already - fresh air - no traffic fumes - and I feel safer. Most muggers are still in their beds! Just going to make a bacon butty - shall I email one to you or are they not allowed?
It seemed a good idea at the time, my earlier ones were not good, but these are worse and have gone into the machine, including a blood pressure of 64/43, which is terrible.
Blooming eck lots of Larks around except for Bruce who’ll soon be bedding down.just the hall and stairwell to paint this week then that’s it , for now at least.Enjoy.
I woke up early for a pee about 05-45 and as it looked like it was going to be a nice day, I didn’t go back to bed
I’ve put out the rubbish bin, had a couple of cups of coffee … and what now?
I’ll have a stroll round the local streets & park, and buy some fruit on the return trip
Might make a start on some wood carving this afternoon
Sorry to hear about your latest bp reading Swims. But as Susie said, you still have your humour.
Barry sounds a very useful dad to have! I’m impressed.
I go out in the dark every evening with Holly, often gone 10pm, but keep to the well lit road. If I go around 9, the Chinese take away and little mini marts remain open, so there are still people about. I always feel safe.
A busy day for me. Must get my bin into the alley soon. On to the cafe for 11, shall take Holly then walk her afterwards. Then the writing group this evening.
Clammy and humid this morning. Need to catch up with everyone who has done their walk already.
Waiting for a delivery (delayed due to postal strikes), and other than that…no plans.
Have a lovely day
Swimmy, I have sent the Haggis Evacuation Team down…they work like ants y’see, and will carefully maneuver you from your hospital bed on their backs, and get you in your own bed before you know it. Nobody will notice a thing!
Morning all, another bright sunny day by the looks of things.
Had to dash up to my daughter’s yesterday evening after she rang to say granddaughter had fallen off her hoverboard and badly hurt her foot - thought it may mean a trip to A&E. I could hear the poor child wailing in pain. Luckily it wasn’t as bad as originally thought - she had a nasty gash on her foot, and a large area was rapidly swelling, but she could rotate her ankle in both directions and wriggle all her toes, so nothing seems broken. Think she’ll have a big bruise there this morning.
However, it did mean I had to abandon an embroidery project I was in the middle of, so will have to return to that this morning - something I’m making for a neighbour who’s recently returned home after nearly 8 months in hospital. She had a stroke, followed by sepsis, followed by hip surgery. She’s always been very fit, it’s been a shock to everyone to know she’d been so ill, and she’s been missed by us all, who have been used to seeing her out early every day for her walk, always ready to stop and have a friendly catch up.
@swimfeeders sorry to hear about your low BP reading. No that’s not good, they will be keeping you in a bit longer I reckon. Better safe than sorry though, and I know you know that.
