Good Morning Tuesday 28th November 2023

Morning all!

I was hoping for a quiet day but that wasn’t to be. The bird is back. It took a break yesterday, but I heard it again this morning. I looked up what repels birds safely. They say that strong smells repels birds. One article suggested to put vinegar, lemon and peppermint oil. Right under the suggestion, it says that vinegar can kill birds. They maybe should have said that part first.

I decided to try for the lemon scent. I taped some brown paper over the window so the bird wouldn’t be attracted to the shiny. Then I put lemon pledge on the paper. If the bird is back tomorrow, the suggestions about the scent are lies, because I can smell it from here, and I’m not close.

I also purchased the Peacock TV Black Friday special. I couldn’t resist. It was $20 for the year.

If all goes well, I’m hoping for a quiet day today.

Have a good day everyone.

Hi

Morning All.

It is cold, dark and miserable and will stay that way all day.

Have a good day all.

Good morning!
Cold, clear, frosty with a cloudless sky, it promises to be a nice day

I feel better than I have done for the past couple of days, so about 90% right if not 100%, but I think I’ll live.

Things to do - Tai chi this morning; collect prescription; go shopping

Morning all.

Zulu, glad you are shaking off the cold. Stay warm.

This flipping weather is now verging on the ridiculous, all that rain. Glad it has stopped, but for how long, I wonder? Thankfully Holly wanted to go out a bit early last night, at 8, so was glad to be home by half past and all done.

Good Morning from Foxy’s world… :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:
Still half dark and cold when I set off for my 3 mile walk/jog along the canal towpath. It was like crufts along the canal with lots of dogs and walkers doing their stuff, even a couple of lady runners passed me you would have thought it was a summers day, except everybody was well wrapped up. I jogged quite a lot to avoid conversation and to keep warm…Couldn’t catch the lady runners though…Was a time!

I join you late in my day 7pm and its been hot and 30C with a hint if rain which we welcome muchly. So in all day [no car atm] well walked the dog at 5.30pm and it was warming up quickly then - I usually put out a cup of black coffee [good brands] on the verandah table - walk the dog around my block - I l ive on 8 acres and then sit down to watch the rising sun and have my coffee that has cooled down by then.

sun is usually up at about 6ish I think and things are getting warm already - you complain about the rain and cold me the heat? so indoors with aircons blasting and watching good films [ anyone seen the uk film On Chesil Beach ] - I do like the british films [well all really] but the uk ones are always nostalgic!

self cooking of course - often asian fryups and have been known to eat whole lumps of cheese [ addicted from an early age] and chocolate bars sometimes - alone at my age do what I want! but reading your accounts are quite profound as you describe you activities and weather particularly - I can almost imagine I am there again. don’t want to be I don’t think but miss the memories - I am chatting regularly with a dear lady on facebook who lives in cheshire and we use the mike and video features - all seems to be free!!
