Morning Julia et al…
Very chilly here first thing and forecasting a maximum of 12 here for later so brrr… better break out another sweater methinks…
Another easy day here for me, just the dog to bathe and trim, and then I have to muck out my Jeep to make it presentable for the MOT tomorrow, it’s eighteen years old now so just hope it doesn’t end up being expensive…
Hope you have picked up a bit this morning Swimmy, many more of these episodes and they’ll be putting you on the Christmas card list…
Have a good day everyone
Good morning
It’ll be a day to stay at home with all the rain forecast.
Drove down from the Blue Mountains, bought diesel at an outrageous $2.01 a litre. (petrol is $1.60 a litre). watched the news and was shocked to see the pound nearing parity with the US$1 - not that our dollar is going gangbusters against the US dollar.
Washed some clothes only to see showers roll in.
It’s that kind of day!
Morning all.
Cafe meet this morning, at some point I must get to the pharmacy for my repeat meds, then this evening attend the writing group. I haven’t written anything for weeks so may just go and show my face and do the usual, take turns in reading out theirs, and discuss. Should only be four of us this week, with one on holiday, so not a long evening, hopefully.
And in between so the dog walks.
Feeling the cold now, definitely.
I had my usual email from my energy provider, stating what they will collect at the beginning of the month. With the Govt help, they have halved my DDs for the next 6 months. I can’t help wondering how this will work. Will they, the provider, make up the difference when the bill is much more than that taken? I am in credit for now, but for how long? I suppose their accounts couldn’t manage a full refund straight off so they seem to prefer doing it this way.
Good morning all.
Lady coming at 9.30am to cut my toe nails, then we are off to Gorleston to do some shopping.
Have a nice day all.
Good morning all
Mr S I hope you’re feeling comfortable this morning and looking forward to breakfast
Today I’m visiting the Dockyard .
Stay warm all x
Hi
Good Morning All
Now on Cardiology Ward, hospitals have huge numbers of people on trollies waiting for beds.
Stuck in bed because of blood thinners so fed up and planning escape home.
Have a good day all.
Good morning!
Nice & sunny, and not too cold
Tai Chi this morning, then this afternoon I must finish cleaning the cooker that I didn’t get round to yesterday
Also I’ll plan a few days away for what’s left of summer
Good morning all, a cloudy day here…
Off into town shortly to look for birthday ideas, I have three birthdays in October, my son and daughter and my grandson.
Enjoy your day folks….
Thinking of you Swimmy, try to relax, although I know you must be fed up with all these trips to the hospitals. Wishing you well… x
All the best for the day Swimmy. Every hour is an hour closer to getting back home.
But chilly here, but relatively clear skies. Nothing planned for the day, so will spend a bit of time in the garden.
@Jazzi You could make manual payments as well if so, I would pay the amount they have deducted manually. Worst that can happen you can claim it back in Spring next year. Or put it aside in a saving account sort of thing so you have the money available if needed.
@Kazz yes I have done so in the past. And when I had a healthy balance, they credited me some back to my bank.
Oooooh, let’s see. I like ones with a twist. Thrillers. Projects on the go now are (1) a girl learning to become a streetwalker to avenge the death of her niece, (2) a woman conjuring up a ghost to carry out naughty vengeful deeds, (3) a murder. But it doesn’t go through the police ritual of solving the crime, it is more about the people in her circle…
A belated good morning. Today has been a struggle,I had both COVID and Flu vaccinations yesterday and my arms are so sore just to add to my other aches and pains and my heart objecting to the vaccine .
Someone remind me why I thought it was a good idea to get a puppy, lovely as she is Pippin is such hard work , her day starts at 5 and she doesn’t realise puppies are meant to sleep most of the day. I know it will all be worth it in the end
Meg, I felt like that with Holly but she has grown into such a good and loving dog, all my efforts were definitely worthwhile! She has grown out of the chewing everything in sight ways. I can go out confidently and come home knowing nothing will be touched or stolen.
She does love a tissue, though! To shred.
