Good Morning Tuesday, 25th November 2025

Good morning on a lovely, sunny, warm day, going to get to 33° later.

Grabbed all the bedding out of my camper this morning and threw it in the washing machine, it was on the line by 8am and dry by 9.30. It made a change from yesterday’s debacle when I had to rush everything into the car port. Even more annoying that rain didn’t even register in the rain gauge, it was just enough to be annoying.

Have just about completed all the little jobs I decided needed doing when I returned home, nothing dramatic, just things like the washing mentioned above, I still have yet to tackle one job, there is a chip in the windscreen which I keep meaning to fix. I think it dates back to before my Darwin trip but I am determined to fix before it gets worse, it is now the size of a 10 cent piece (the old shilling). I have to check the garage for a kit otherwise it is a wander down to Supercheap Auto later.

That is just about all the excitement for my morning, have a good one.

Take care…

Hi

Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.

A lovely sunny day forecast, no rain and a high of 7C.

Yesterday was part disaster, part brilliant.

A shingles vaccination at home by a lovely nurse, it is the first of two.

Yet another new wavemaker arrived, as cheap as chips, hardly any reviews, but absolutely brilliant.

So easy to install and setup, works a treat, so different to the highly recommended ones on Amazon, I have had 3 of those, all broken after a short time.

I am a very happy Womble.

My landline is still not working, neither is my Sky Broadband working properly.

Sky have been very unhelpful recently, time for a change.

Next door, the ones with the teenage and older kids, are having a new kitchen fitted.

The work includes knocking down an internal wall and moving meters and storage.

The Housing Association doing the work are having to replace their side of a joint roof to the outside store and have decided it would be easier and cheaper to replace all the roof so are doing my bit free of charge.

An unexpected bonus.

I have a reaction to the shingles vaccination, it is annoying but supposed to disappear in a couple of days.

Have a great day all.

Good morning!
Clear, cold, frosty and very cold first thing; now it has brightened up to be bright sunshine, clear blue sky but still frosty

I was up early to take my car to the garage for its annual service & MOT
The battery etc is in good condition so it started OK but I had to do a fair amount of scraping off frost & ice, spraying with de icer and generally letting the thing warm up.
Then I drove to the garage, and unfortunately the route takes me past a primary school, so there was loads of traffic, and kids running about
Fortunately I made it without mishap. Now I just wait for a phone call later this afternoon so I can collect it
There will be the usual fees, but I’m not expecting any serious problems or costs

The walk back from the garage is fairly short but even so I got quite cold, so now I’m going to make a cup of tea with a dose of whisky in it and get under the duvet for at least an hour.

Morning all…

A frosty start to the day, down here in deepest Hampshire. Just come back from my morning coffee and drop the wife off at the gym. Need to start with the Christmas shopping today, meant to start yesterday, but other things got in the way. As usual, no idea what to get her, although I’ve been getting strong hints about wanting a new watch (She has loads of them already), some Swarovski ornaments and a new coat. I don’t like getting her something she knows about or suggested, as I like it to be all a surprise. Also her Birthday is only a few days away from Christmas and we’ll be in New York at that time, so I’ve arranged a small treat for her while we’re there. Weather forecasts means its going to be freezing cold, so we’ll have that to deal with as well.

Have a great day all…
