Funny weather this morning. Clear skies when I set off on my walk yet as I arrived home it was almost misty with very fine rain. Funny thing was that I looked up but there didn’t appear to be any clouds above me - very odd.
I did call into the supermarket on my way home from my walk, I also called into my PO Box because I am expecting a couple of batteries for my TZ110 camera. I originally had two for it but one started to swell - you know, the sign of a lithium cell dying. Anyway they haven’t arrived yet.
I also checked on a document I had to send off to the UK Passport Office for my passport application. Bugger me, it hasn’t left Australia… but was cleared for International departure (whatever that means) I actually posted it four days ago so all it has done in that time is travelled the 85km to Sydney, only another 12000km to go!
Dentist this arvo, I suddenly realised I hadn’t been for a check up and clean since the middle of last year so I rang up yesterday and got an appointment for today.
It is a very medical few days, eye specialist yesterday, dentist today, cancer doctor tomorrow, it’s all go…
A grey and cloudy day here on the south coast of Hampshire. Not much going on here today, I’ll be going for my daily walk and feed the wildlife if there’s any around. Later, take the wife to the gym. The rest of the day will be me playing with my photos I took the other day. That’s about it.
For the past few days I’ve been sorting my wood and thinking & planning about what to make and what to use for knives and wooden jewellery/pendants
The result is that my flat resembles a sort of giant game of Pass The Parcel, with little piles of wood all over my flat; on benches and in corners
And by the time I’ve sorted and earmarked one lot, I’ve forgotten what the first ones were for
So today I’m going to set to with plastic bags & labels and clearly identify them
The dusting & vacuum cleaning can wait for a couple of days
I had an Interesting Email yesterday from Netflix asking me if I would like to join a club which previews new films and series in the making before they are released, I have to give my opinion on them good or bad ,I said Yes , I had to tick a box , not to talk about what Im viewing, So I won’t be able to tell you anything till after the release , which is sometimes a year after I viewed and commented .Perhaps I will be able to say they changed something because of mine and others in the club views.
Good Afternoon forum folk…
After last weeks warm sunny weather we seem to have taken a step back to wall to wall cloud and cool weather with rain forecast for this evening.
Although it was still mild on my morning walk/jog this morning. I took my heart monitor with me this morning to see how the heart was standing up to the jogging. It only went to 117 on a particularly fast sprint, the rest of the time it hovered around 90 during longer slower stretches.
I think my pacemaker is deliberately keeping the heart rate down and I’m feeling it a bit during the recovery cycle when my heart should be replacing the spent oxygen.
I’ve been feeling pretty crap since I returned home and I’m beginning to think that I should stop running now. I always feel so good when I just walk round, and struggle for the rest of the day if I run. And yesterday on a fast walk I actually walked faster than when I do some jogging. When I run, the walking bits are actually very slow until I’ve recovered, but I can keep a good walking pace going all the way if I don’t run…
I think my body might be trying to tell me something…
“Isn’t it time to give up on this running nonsense you silly old bugger!”
