Good Morning Tuesday, 18th November 2025

Good morning one and all.

Today I am in the mining town of Cobar (copper, silver and zinc), I have been here many times before so am not doing much exploring. I am sure that one of the mines had an underground explosion recently and a couple women were killed, I don’t think it has reopened yet.

The road north from Ivanhoe was two lanes all the way (that is one in each direction) it was terrific…

After yesterday seeing no animals other than sheep and cows, today I saw hundreds if not thousands of feral goats, one emu and caught a glimpse of kangaroos lying down in the shade… I have yet to see a goat as road kill though there were plenty of dead kangaroos, wombats and even a pig.

That annoying wind with overcast sky has been replaced today by a gentle breeze and horizon to horizon blue skies.

I am just going to relax this arvo and read my food after yesterdays dinner at the club today will probably be instant noodles or a cheese sandwich, choices, choices! Whatever I decide, first I am going to enjoy a nice cold beer.

Enjoy your day too.

Take care…

Hi

Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.

I am enjoying reading about your trips Bruce, very entertaining.

Here in Shrewsbury it is cold, only 2C, the river is still high, with the main Car Parks still flooded and the Council Offices still cut off.

We are forecast sleet and some snow tomorrow, winter is definitely here, the Christmas Lights are being turned on tomorrow.

We have made the national news due to the stupidity of our Council and a new traffic scheme…

At a cost of several Million GB Pounds they have managed to add 30 minutes to what was a 15 minute journey

I am still stuck lying down, leg is still leaking .

Apart from that it is life as usual.

Enjoy your day.

Not a nice day today as I have the 6 mth appointment with the dentist for a check up only I hope
