Good morning all on a glorious sunny day in the Snowy Mountains. It is actually afternoon for me as most of the morning was taken up driving.
I arrived here just after 2pm and checked in, nicely situated caravan park and not bad facilities for $27 a night I took the stay four pay for three deal.
The route here is through Canberra (basically the same as I did two weekends ago) then south to beyond Cooma I was within a couple of Ks of my daughter’s house and would have normally called in but they are in Japan!
Not that keen on the site all the caravan powered sites are gravel and/or slab. I prefer a grass site for my little camper.
However they have excellent facilities block so I am writing this on the lounge balcony. The view from my site however is lovely. The lake looks beautiful if a little empty.
Morning all – another cold start to the day although we are promised some sunshine later and – whisper it – temperatures are set to rise later this week!
Lovely photos Bruce - enjoy your journey
I didn’t post yesterday as I got the same message everyone else seems to have got – and I am ultra-careful when using the internet. Glad Azz has now fixed it
Returned the cake dish to my neighbour yesterday and stayed on for coffee and a chat and even the beast allowed me to fuss her!! For some obscure reason we were working out how old she is in human terms – as she is 14 apparently that means she is 72 in human years! No wonder the poor thing has arthritis and sleeps a lot!
Another weird happening to add to the list I posted the other day – I found a lamp which is switched on by touch had somehow turned itself on!! I am beginning to wonder whether I should contact an exorcist!!
My plans for today are shopping and ironing – yes I know, my exciting lifestyle is something you all aspire to!
Good morning - not much has been happening worth a mention. Today and all the coming week will be a bit different because our daughter is visiting (lives in Spain). This always means a change in routine.
Got a little bit of trouble with the car. Nothing affecting the running. There are four locks that tie the wheelchair down. Two of them are operated electrically with a switch. One is sometimes failing to lock with the result that the chair can move about a bit while travelling. Had a word with the manufactures and am trying a few suggestions.
The morning is brighter than it has been of late. Forecast to be warming up by the end of the week but with some rain. I must start taking my walks again. It’s easy to get lazy when they haven’t been the norm for such a long time.
I like my camper but I am envious of the 20 and 30 somethings on their unpowered sites with their rooftop tents. I would love one but while I am sure I could get up and in, getting out and down would be a different matter.
