Good Morning Tuesday, 12th August 2025

Good morning all.

The weather was lovely this morning - horizon to horizon blue skies. I was tempted to do my laundry but decided to wait until tomorrow when it is a bit warmer and little chance of rain. Stripped my bed and will put on spare bedding.

Went for my walk in the sunshine but I could see white fluffy clouds building up on the horizon over the ocean as I returned.

Have been running one of my travelling fridges for a couple of days, it is one that I rarely use, designed to sit on the centre console but I tend to occasionally use it as a freezer as my bigger travel fridge only has one compartment. I don’t know if running it occasionally does it any good but I assume it can’t do any harm. I really should buy one with two compartments.

No idea what this arvo will bring.

Have a tantalising Tuesday.

Take care…

Howdy all! Bike repair still ongoing…no idea what I’m doing. Something very therapeutic about working in the garage with the shutter door open and it pouring down with rain outside!

Have great days everybody!

Hi
Good Morning Bruce and all who follow.

Woke up to a Gmail Message, I had won a prize on the Set for Life Ticket on the National Lottery.

Logged in, I have won a fiver, not exactly set for life.

I have all 3 helpers here today, last time until the first week in September, this will be interesting, if nothing else.

Have a great day all, time is running out for all of us, so make the most of every single minute.

Morning all…another bright warm sunny day here in southern Hampshire.

Not entirely sure what’s in store today. I have a garden that needs mowing, but I may decide to leave for a bit longer as it more weeds than grass. Still going through my photos I took the other day, which takes a lot of time, so I’ll probably carry on with that. I also have a bit of ordering to do online and some other stuff I need to look at.

Not my usual exciting day and the hot days are not helping. I shall let my coffee decide what to do today.

Have a great day all…

 :+1: :coffee:

Morning all, nothing to report so I’ll address you all individually while I procrastinate from work!

@Mickinthemorning I’m still cringing over the knickerless schoolgirl story, one of the most Carry On movie-esque things I’ve ever heard! Very funny though

@swimfeeders Always the way! Sometimes I can’t be bothered to check the email because I know if it’s Euromillions at most I’ll have won £3.50!

@realspeed Goodness me, a close shave!

@Graham I’m absolutely letting my coffee dictate how much effort I put in to work today!

@Bruce sounds lovely! Are you beach based?

Morning all – another sunny day with temperatures forecast to reach 32c

Didn’t sleep last night so another late start this morning – at this rate the birds will be taking legal action for being late feeding them every morning!

Gardener arrived on time yesterday and the garden now looks much neater.

Received a phone call this morning from the solicitor who drew up my Will following my letter of complaint. He was full of excuses but seemed more concerned about whether I planned to take the complaint further. Told him the copy Will which he said was posted last week still hasn’t arrived but I accepted that was probably due to the lax postal service. I am really unimpressed with them

Plan for today is just some shopping – I want some solar lights for the garden – and I need to pick up some more fresh fruit and veggies

Take care – have a lovely day everyone

Something atmospheric about this mornings walk along the lane.
I decided to give the canal walk a miss this morning and opted for the longer walk along the main road and back down the lane. It’s very quiet and remote once you leave the road and it’s worth putting up with all the rush hour traffic for a mile. I jog some bits of that anyway to get it out of the way quickly.
Really warm (24 degrees C when I got home) wall to wall cloud cover, and with not a breath of wind it seemed like something major was going to happen with the weather. It also got so dark…But as I’m writing this a couple of hours later it seems to have brightened up and blown over. Still very warm and humid though.

Here’s last nights dinner I cooked for Mrs Fox and me, the chips came out perfect…
None of that silly air fryer stuff here, just a pan of hot oil on the hob…

A mug of Yorkshire tea and a slice of buttered Warburtons Farmhouse bread on the side and you have Yorkshireman’s heaven…With a little help from Captain Birdseye…

And we all know baked beans are famous for. I call them knicker rippers

Good afternoon all!

A bit of a late one from me, I’ve been somewhat distracted. Romantic matters don’t entirely end in the teens! :open_mouth:

But moving swiftly on I salvaged some lovely zingy green fresh chillies from the fridge.

I have a fresh baguette at my disposal, one spicy cheesy snack for tonight!

That’s one solid manly lunch Foxy!
Respect…

I have an agenda too…

Enjoy the rest of your day people! :+1:
