Good morning all, another warm, sunny, spring day.
Was out fairly early to pick up some goodies from my PO box then off to Bunnings for some bits for a project. No problem until I got home.
As I reversed into the garage I heard a “Twang”, not a music note that my garage entry usually provokes. Discovered that the 100mm pipe I had put on the roof racks had snapped the garage door opening mechanism - basically a metal strap from the central handle to the door edges. Annoyingly the pipe was lower than the awning on the car but it had a flat edge which trapped the strap.
Made a bodgy repair using steel pop rivets and a couple of cable ties to inhibit the “sag”. (where would the world be without cable ties and duct tape?)
Not feeling very lively this morning; no particular reason, so I had a lie in
Now I’ve just had a shower and feel slightly better … but only slightly, mind you!
Today I’ll be doing yesterday’s washing up and a bit of other tidying
However I’m determined to try to keep up some fitness and lose a bit of weight, so this morning, before my shower I did Tai Chi, something I had let slip for a few days, and this afternoon I’ll go for a short walk or do some indoor exercise – or perhaps both!
That’s definitely something I haven’t been doing lately

Not much going on here, just come back from my daily walk, having rained a lot during the night. But it’s sunny here at the moment, albeit overcast. I’m waiting for a break in the weather, as I have a lawn to cut and a drive to clean and de-weed. Moreover, I want to get out and do some autumn shots, but the light isn’t great at the moment. Our current issue is trying to renew our travel insurance with the wife’s health issues and the astronomical premiums being asked.
Other than that, not much else happening here…have a great day all.
after the last couple of days spent helping next door I today was utterly exhaused and spent most of today asleep… Never again helping out neighbours,let them sort out their own issues.
